Pune Panthers have now qualified for the final of the World Legends Pro T20 League 2026. They will now face the winner of the second semi-final between Delhi Warriors and Dubai Royals, which is set to start in a few minutes.
That's it from our live coverage of this game. This is Mohammad Anab signing off on behalf of my colleagues Pritam Dey and Sachin Yadav. Cheers.
Kieron Pollard (Pune Panthers Captain): "At one point, we were even at about getting a target of 230ā240, but I just believe that last over that Ishwar Pandey bowled, where we went for four runs, sort of gave us the momentum that youāre speaking about going into the second innings.
(On his batting) Yeah, of course. You know, at that stage in the game, thatās what I input to us. Iām sure they were thinking that Iād take up a few balls, but, you know, I sort of had a fun mindset today. And again, thatās what experience sort of brings ā knowing when you need to pull the trigger earlier than normal.
But, you know, sending Shinwari up the order as well ā heās been promising, but today he sort of delivered for us. And again, total team effort. You know, Robin going down the order, the conversations that we had, and, you know, getting over the line.
(On message to players for the final) We havenāt seen much, to be honest. Thatās fine. The only thing youāre going to see right now is massage, ice, stretch, and, you know, come back tomorrow. It has been sort of hectic, which is fine. But again, another team in the finals. So we have the opportunity to play ā letās see what happens tomorrow."
Samiullah Shinwari (LOTM): "It was my responsibility to stay at the wicket till the end and go with what they say ā the captain. So they gave me the, what do you say, the plan, and I did this. (On batting with Pollard) Yeah, heās a big legend in, you know, all over the world. Sir Pollard is. And when he came to bat, it became a little bit easier for me because he can hit more big sixes than me. And after that, Uttappa came ā he took away the match in one over. So for me, it became easier, and we won the match."
Legend of the Match: Samiullah Shinwari
Time for post-match presentations...
Eoin Morgan (Rajasthan Lions Captain): "(On leading the side) Iāve loved it. Itās been a brilliant week or so, spending time with some of the legends of the game, and getting to share some memories this week has been great. Some of the performances that have been put in today and across the week have been brilliant ā today no different. Angelo Perera has been outstanding coming in. Heās had it here, there and everywhere, but at the top of the order, it seems to work very well for him. So, any game where you play in which over 400 runs are scored and it goes down to the last over is a good, competitive game of cricket. Thatās why you play the game, or initially did, but unfortunately, today wasnāt our day. So, weāve had a fantastic week and Iāve been delighted with the performances. Unfortunately, we fall one short and donāt get to the final, but Iām delighted with how the guys have played.
(On his personal performance) Yeah, delighted. I suppose half of the battle of any type of performance is going out there and doing exactly what youāve talked about doing, so it was nice to be able to do so. Eventually missed out on the first three games, but I was backed when I missed out and other guys got themselves in. So, itās always nice to get runs at the top of the order when given a chance. Today I got started but couldnāt quite get going initially, but the guys made up around it.
(Meeting old colleagues) Yeah, really exciting ā particularly playing with some of the domestic players who have played a little bit for India, whom Iāve played with or shared an IPL changing room with. Talking about the memories that have gone past and creating new ones this week has been brilliant. So, Iāve loved it. Iāve loved Goa. Iāve loved the competition. And, on behalf of the whole of our team, Iād like to thank our owners, who have been brilliant, our backroom staff, and our coaches, who have been excellent. So, yeah, itās been great."
7:00 PM IST, Local Time: End of the match. Pune Panthers is now the first team to qualify for the final of the World Legends Pro T20 League 2026. Panthers register a victory by six wickets against the Eoin Morgan-led Rajasthan Lions.
Batting first, Rajasthan Lions posted a strong total of 213/6 in their 20 overs. The star batter was Sri Lankan Angelo Perera as he smashed 96* (55). He was brilliant with his strokes. The Lankan was also supported by skipper Eoin Morgan (30) and Callum Ferguson (39).
Chasing 214 for victory, Pune Panthers showed remarkable composure and depth in their batting. Despite losing their Kiwi opener Martin Guptill (1) early, Upul Tharanga laid a steady foundation with 48 off 32 balls, while Shane Watson kept the asking rate in check with an aggressive 36 off 20.
After their dismissals, skipper Kieron Pollard came in and he launched a counter-attack, blasting 43 off just 19 balls to swing the momentum decisively in Puneās favour. With the required rate under control, Samiullah Shinwari played a crucial finishing role, remaining unbeaten on 53 off 30 deliveries, displaying maturity and clean hitting under pressure. Shinwari and Pollard had a fourth-wicket partnership of 70 runs in just five overs.
After Pollard's dismissal, Robin Uthappa came in and he then applied the final touches with an unbeaten 32 off 12 balls, guiding Pune to 217 for 4 and a memorable six-wicket victory on the last ball of the 20th over.
For Rajasthan, spinner Shadab Jakati was the standout bowler with 2 for 27, while Bipul Sharma picked up a solitary wicket of Pollard but was very expensive.
The win capped a dominant display from Pune Panthers, who successfully chased one of the highest totals of the tournament. Rajasthan Lions, despite Pereraās outstanding knock, bowed out after a valiant effort, bringing an end to an entertaining campaign.
With this emphatic victory, Pune Panthers marched confidently into the final, underlining their title credentials in a semi-final that lived up to its billing as a run-fest and a spectacle for the fans.

4 FOUR!!! That's it. What a chase by Pune Panthers. They have chased down the target of 214 runs right on the final ball of the innings. They win the semi-final by six wickets and now advance to the final of the tournament. Coming to the ball. Full. Duminy this time fails to hit the block-hole length. Angling to the off stump. Uthappa makes room and then lofts it over the mid off fielder for a four. He makes it look very easy. Excellent knock by him. Robbie remains unbeaten at 32 (12) while Shinwari stays not out at 53. Credit should be given to JP Duminy as well, since he bowled an excellent last over.
