This match will be etched in gold in the WPL lore, for it saw Nat Sciver-Brunt become the first batter to score a century in the league. Those who followed it closely, will also remember it for Richa Ghosh's whirlwind towards the end and for what could have happened if she got more support.
However, the over-arching narrative revolves around a word cricket fans are well versed with β "momentum". RCB had won 5 on a trot before a 4-day break. They haven't won anything post it. MI were going downhill and they seemed to have come off their 5-day break rejuvenated.
4 matches still to go in the league stage and plenty of possibilities are still alive.
We hope you enjoyed tonight's coverage. The commentators were Darpan Tikiya and Ajay Pal Singh. The scorer was Paras Yadav. Aman was responsible for bringing all the stats.
Join us tomorrow at 6:30 PM IST, when we begin to build towards Gujarat Giants vs Delhi Capitals. Goodbye for now.

Nat Sciver-Brunt (POTM): "[What the century means] I guess, a special moment to get that milestone. But more importantly, to get runs on the board for the team. We are in a knockout situation. Glad to have that partnership with Hayley.
[On her consistency] The girls are asking me the same. I guess it is about preparing and turning up mentally in the same way and try to stay present in the match. Not to think about the ball have gone before, just focus on the one you are going to face.
[On her range of shots] I was just reacting to the field set for me and the balls bowled to me. I just have confidence in the shots I like to play and sticking to my strengths.
[On a pre-plan against an opposition] Maybe a little. Tactically, some bowlers are more of your strengths than others. Some bowlers might be on fire, you try to target the other bowlers. Assessing the wickets in powerplay, we didn't go that hard. We understood it wasn't playing that bad and then we pressed on the accelerator."
Player of the Match: Nat Sciver-Brunt
Harmanpreet Kaur (Mumbai Indians Women captain): "Great match. It was a good show from Nat. Good contribution from Matthews. Good to see she got some runs. We were waiting for her to get some runs.
We have been playing together. This is our fourth year. It is something in MI. Whenever team needs, everyone comes together to give their best. Really happy we did it tonight. I think that the little break we had helped us. We had some bonding sessions. That helped us. We all wanted to go into these games with fresh minds.
She (Sciver-Brunt) is always there whenever the team needs her. We love watching her bat the way she does. So happy that she got the runs. Shabnim Ismail has been waiting for a while. She is always someone who takes the crucial wickets. Good to see her doing that."
