Final word. What does this result mean going forward? India U-19 march on. Confident. Clinical. Complete. Semi-finals beckon. Malaysia U-19 return with lessons. Hard ones. Necessary ones. This was a gulf in class. But also a glimpse of the future. Cricket teaches. Cricket humbles. For now, India celebrate. Malaysia reflect. That’s the game. That’s the journey.

Until then, I am Dev Rajawat, signing off, along with my co-commentator Ajay Pal Singh and scorer Danish Elahi. That’s it from our side. Thanks for joining. But cricket doesn’t sleep. Plenty is happening around the world. Switch tabs, follow the fun. Goodbye from this tab! TAKE CARE! BREATHE AND SMILE! CIAO!
Ayush Mhatre (India U-19 Captain): "Yeah, guys are really looking good. We are confident that we can win this tournament.

Yeah, the boys are taking initiative, showing responsibility. If wickets fell early, they take the game deep and it is good to see.

Yeah, the bowler was looking good. We had 400 runs on the board, so was trying to experiment. There was grass on the surface but overall a nice wicket.

No, we will play our normal game and back what we have been doing."
Deeaz Patro (Malaysian U-19 Skipper): "Coming into this tournament itself was a big achievement for us. Getting drawn in a group with teams like Pakistan and India was a great opportunity, and we really wanted to make the most of it by learning as much as we could from their batters, their bowlers, and the way they play the game.

Every match gave us a chance to grow and understand where we need to improve. As a team, we’ve stayed positive no matter the situation. We’re a very well-bonded group, as we’ve grown up playing together at the state level, in under-16 nationals, and now at the under-19 level.

That support system really shows, whether we’re on the field or in the dugout. Our coaches have backed us all the way, from the ACC Premier Cup through to the Asia Cup, and that belief has meant a lot.

There have been some really good positives as well. Akram picking up a five-wicket haul today was special, and in the previous match, we had only the second Malaysian to score a half-century. Everyone has been putting in the hard work at training, and it’s great to see that effort reflected in the performances."
Abhigyan Kundu (POTM): "I am feeling so proud of myself that I scored a double hundred. My next step is to help India win the trophy.

You can say that, it has been a good journey and I can continue to do well for whichever team I play for.

My thought process was that I would just let the game flow, and play till the 40th over and then take it on from there. (On hitting big sixes) It is just the practice that has paid off for me."

Biggest Wins For India In Men's U19 Asia Cup (By Runs)

315 against Malaysia, Dubai, 2025 (TODAY)

235 against Malaysia, Colombo, 2016

234 against UAE, Dubai, 2025

227 vs UAE, Savar, 2018
4:37 PM IST, 3:07 PM LOCAL TIME: A storm with the bat, a strangle with the ball. India U-19 turned Dubai into their playground. Total dominance. Start to finish. India U-19 have crushed Malaysia U-19 by 315 runs. A statement win. Batting was ruthless. Bowling was relentless. India stay perched at the top of Group A. Malaysia walk away wiser, bruised, and better informed about the levels needed here. This was not just a win. It was a reminder. Heavyweight performance.

How did the chase begin for Malaysia U-19 under that mountain of 409? With pressure. And plenty of it. Kishan and Udhav hit the right areas straight away. No freebies. Azib gone in the third over. Just 3/1 after three. Powerplay chaos followed. Hairil fell soon after. Malaysia were 10/2 inside six overs. India smelled blood. The asking rate climbed. The scoreboard screamed. The chase already looked uphill.

Deeaz Patro tried to steady things. Afinid hung around. But then came Deepesh. Ninth over. Third ball. Wicket. Again, next over. And again after that. Malaysia collapsed from 18/2 to 32/6. One wicket per over. Surgical. Drinks read 37/6. The game slipped away fast. India tightened the noose.

What made Deepesh’s spell so devastating? Discipline. Movement. Confidence. He hit the deck hard. Extracted bounce. Bagged a five-fer. Figures that tell a story - 5/22 in seven overs. Malaysia had no answers. Partners kept changing. Ends kept switching. Scoreboard pressure mounted. At 38/7, it was survival mode. Not a chase anymore. Damage control at best.

Did Malaysia show any resistance at all? Yes. And it deserves mention. The ninth-wicket stand fought back. Hamzah Panggi and Jaashwin Krishnamurthi showed heart. Soft hands. Singles. A few boundaries. Frustration crept into the Indian camp. The stand crossed fifty. But Kanishk broke it. Udhav cleaned up the tail. All out for 93 in 32.1 overs. Effort noted. Gap acknowledged.

Earlier in the match, how did India build that colossal 408? It began with intent. Ayush flew early. Vaibhav Suryavanshi exploded to a 26-ball fifty. Powerplay read 85/2. Then came the calm. Trivedi and Kundu stitched magic. Drinks at 120/3. Control regained. Momentum built. Malaysia searched for answers. India kept asking tougher questions.

And the knock that broke the contest wide open? Abhigyan Kundu. Take a bow. 209*. Off 125 balls. Seventeen fours. Nine sixes. Poetry with power. He crossed fifty. Then a hundred. Then one-fifty. Then double. Trivedi played the perfect foil with 90. Their 209-run stand flattened Malaysia. India crossed 300 in the 42nd over. 400 soon after. Carnage. Controlled chaos.
