Milestone
That's it from this match. Sudurpaschim Royals have defeated the Lumbini Lions and are at the helm of the points table with 8 points from 4 games. Now we have the second game of today's double-header lined up between Pokhara Avengers and Janakpur Bolts. Do join us for that game.

For now, this is Saptak Sanyal signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Dev Rajawat and the scorer/analyst of this match Sachin Yadav. Have a good day.
Dipendra Singh Airee (Sudurpaschim Royals Captain): "It was our moment. Very glad to win the match. I am very happy with the way Binod bhai is batting. I am really happy with Abinash Bohara. He is our death bowler and also Nepal's death bowler.

Yes the efforts are important. We are happy to continue with the momentum."
Binod Bhandari (Player of the Match): "Yeah, the half-century came at the right time, and I’m really happy about that. It felt good to contribute when the team needed runs, and that’s always satisfying as a player.

With the gloves as well, I’m pleased with how things went. The keeping felt smooth, the rhythm was good, and I executed what I had worked on.

Overall, everything clicked nicely today. Everyone contributed in their roles, and that made the performance even better. It was a proper team effort, and I’m glad I could play my part."

Time for the Post-Match Presentations:
2:46 PM IST and 3:01 PM Local Time : Sudurpaschim Royals have won their fourth consecutive game of this season and are at the top of the points table with 8 points from the four games. They have defeated the Lumbini Lions by 7 wickets and with 10 balls remaining in the game.

Skipper Dipendra Singh Airee won the toss and sent the Lumbini Lions to bat first. D'Arcy Short hit three boundaries in the first over and got the scoreboard off to a flyer. But Hemant Dhami removed him on 18 and his fellow opener Sumit Maharjan fell prey to Harmeet Singh. After that, Rohit Paudel and Dilip Nath carried the innings forward. Their partnership yielded 52 runs but they took 46 balls to go there. Paudel once again failed to impress as he took a lot of balls in his innings. He scored a mere 35 off 36 runs.

The last five overs saw the Lions to fall like nine pins as they lost 7 wickets in that phase. Their entire lower order faltered and eventually they got bundled out for 143.

For the Sudurpaschim Royals, Harmeet Singh and Abinash Bohara took 3 wickets each. Hemant Dhami took 2 wickets and Scott Kuggeleijn removed Sher Malla.

Royals came out in pursuit of 144 and Josh Brown hit 2 boundaries in the first over but he was dismissed by Abhishek Gautam in the next over for 9. Gautam restricted Chris Lynn by exploiting the grip and turn offered from the pitch and the dashing Australian batter opened his account in the 8th ball only. He hit two maximums of Ruben Trumpelmann later but the Namibian left arm pacer dismissed him for 16.

Binod Bhandari and Aarif Sheikh were at the crease and they carried the innings forward in the same mould as Paudel and Dilip took in the first innings. But the exception was that Bhandari executed his shots to perfection after taking his time. He eventually got to his fifty and remained unbeaten on 69 from 49 balls with 5 fours and 4 sixes. Aarif Sheikh played the anchor's role and scored 39 runs from 37 balls with 4 fours and a maximum. He was dismissed by Tilak Raj Bhandari in the 18th over. Harmeet Singh finished the game with a maximum with 10 balls to go.
