That’s all from this nail-biting contest, folks! For now, it’s me, Deepak Prakash, signing off from this space along with scorer Sachin Yadav. Cheers!
Player of the Match: Chetan Sakariya
2:38 PM IST, Local Time: PHEW! The match went right down to the wire as Saurashtra clinched a one-run victory, with Ankur Panwar holding his nerve and delivering a brilliant last ball under pressure.

Earlier, opting to bat first, Saurashtra finished on 178/8 in their 20 overs, despite being well on track for 200 at one stage. Vishvaraj Jadeja (40 off 24) and Harvik Desai (28 off 17) provided a brisk start, before Siddhant Rana’s composed 42 off 27 kept the innings steady. Jay Gohil (27 off 21) and Ruchit Ahir (12 off 12) added handy contributions, but regular wickets halted their final push.

For Karnataka, Vyshak Vijaykumar impressed with 3/28, while Manvanth Kumar, Vidyadhar Patil, and Shreyas Gopal claimed a wicket each.

Karnataka fell agonisingly short as Saurashtra clinched a thrilling one-run win in a high-scoring contest. Chasing 179, Devdutt Padikkal led the charge with a brilliant 66 off 46 balls, supported by Smaran Ravichandran (30), keeping Karnataka in the hunt despite regular breakthroughs from Saurashtra’s attack.

The chase came alive in the final two overs. Karnataka needed 24 off 12 balls with—Shubhang Hegde (14) and Manvanth Kumar(9)—at the crease, but both were dismissed off consecutive deliveries in the penultimate over, swinging the momentum back to Saurashtra. With 14 required off the last over, Vyshak Vijaykumar (11*) smashed a couple of crucial boundaries to drag the equation down to 3 needed from the final ball. However, Ankur Panwar held his nerve under immense pressure, delivering a perfect last ball to seal the victory for Saurashtra.

Jaydev Unadkat (2/29), Chetan Sakariya (2/37), and Prerak Mankad (2/37) shared six wickets between them and collectively applied the brakes at crucial moments for Saurashtra. Parth Bhut (1/26) and Ankur Panwar (1/43) chipped in with one wicket apiece.

19.6 A Panwar to V Vijaykumar
1 Just a single, and Saurashtra clinch a last-ball thriller by one run. Panwar fires a wide yorker near the tramline. Vijaykumar stays deep and swings hard, but only gets the toe end, sending the ball rolling to the keeper. He gathers it cleanly, strolls toward the striker's end and uproots the poles, denying the second run. Ankur Panwar erupts in celebration, joined by his teammates.
3 needed off the final ball. Anyone up for super over?
19.5 A Panwar to V Vijaykumar
4 Low full toss outside the off-stump. Vijaykumar throws his bat at it and gets the cue end of the bat towards the deep point region. The fielder in the deep runs across and slides to keep the ball inside the fence, but has he done it cleanly? The TV umpire checks it and the replay shows that the boot has brushed the ropes in the process, and the ball was in contact with the hand. Four runs is the final call and Karnataka need 3 runs off final ball. Two runs will take us to the super over.
7 needed off 2 balls.
