Shreyas Gopal (Mangaluru Dragons Captain) : "Extremely proud, I must say the goal was to be clinical in the tournament. And to finish at the top of the table feels very well. I think with Shivaraj anything is possible, he can turnaround the match anytime. Around 160 was par here, but the wicket kept improving as the game went. The asking run rate went up and Smaran's wicket really changed the momentum."

Earlier in the evening, Vyshak Vijaykumar won the toss and opted to bowl first. Mangaluru Dragons walking out to bat first, lost a wicket off the first delivery. This was followed by some rampage from Sharath BR and Thippa Reddy who brought the Dragons back on track. Thippa Reddy played with dominance, finding the odd boundaries and ticking the scorecard forward. He scored 45 runs off 37 deliveries. The innings included 4 fours and 2 maximums.

After a little collapse in the middle overs, Mangaluru Dragons got a slog overs push from Shivraj S and Aadarsh Prajwal. The partnership added 75 runs off 31 balls. Shivraj S walked out with confidence oozing out. He added 46 off 22 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes. Aadarsh Prajwal added 27 off 15 balls with 3 timely sixes. At the end of 20 overs, Mangaluru Dragons ended up at 180/6.

Coming out to chase 181, Gulbarga Mystics were off to a great start with Luvnith Sisodia scoring quick runs. But this didn't last long as wickets started falling in regular intervals. Mystics failed to notch up a partnership and Mystics lost 7 wickets for 50 runs.

K Shashikumar in the backend, took charge and worked towards taking the Mystics to a respectable position. He scored 22 off 13 balls, with 2 fours and 2 sixes in it.
