Kartik Tyagi (Player of the Match): "I have confidence in my slower ones and yorkers. I tried to stick to my strengths; I told Vijay that we would defend this, and it was fun to do so. We trust each other a lot, and the plan was to follow our process and execute our plans.

They wanted to take the match deep, but it is not easy to chase the required rate of 10 or 11 on this wicket. When Yadav was dismissed, our hopes went up. The motivation was that we have nothing to lose, its straight home if we are eliminated.

Conditions were in our favour since we had fielded first. By the second innings, the ball was getting a bit soft due to the wet outfield, which was in our batters favour.

That is exactly what Meerut Mavericks have done today to book their place in their third consecutive UPT20 Finals! They defeat the Lucknow Falcons by 19 runs to win the contest!
Meerut Mavericks won the toss and elected to bat first! Their top order had no answers to the combination of Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Vipraj Nigam, as the duo reduced them to 29/4 at one stage. However, Divyansh Rajput stepped up for his team with a crucial knock of 64 runs, along with an 82-run partnership with Prashant Chaudhary (30) to help his team establish 143/8 at the end of their 20 overs.
For Lucknow Falcons, Bhuvneshwar Kumar led the charge from the front with 3/26 to his name in 4 overs.
Come the chase, Lucknow Falcons felt confident of chasing this total today. Their openers started aggressively before the rain intervened for an hour.
