This is it from our side for the fixture. This is Utsav Chandak, signing off on behalf of my fellow co-commentator Saptak Sanyal and the scorer of the fixture Zeeshan Neiyar. Thanks for staying with us till the end. Get all cricket updates on the CREX app.
Mohammad Hafeez (Pakistan Champions Captain): "The definitely the way everyone tried their level best was good. We wanted to get 200 but got to 198.

Surely when we saw the pitch, we thought it to be a good batting deck. Everyone tried their level best. The start was good from Sharjeel and Kami but Amin and Malik did a great job for us. We knew there was a lot of runs on the board. We wanted to start with Imad as it was tough to play the spinners.

It is always a tough call to not pick Shahid Afridi in the playing XI. I hope we go well in this tournament."
Aaron Phangiso (South Africa Champions Captain): "Yeah, I thought it was the right decision. We leaked a lot of runs. Congrats to them they deserved the win.

I think we were a little fatigued, second game in a row. All the players are retired. No excuses, I think we didn't bowl in the right areas"
Umar Amin (Player of the Match): "I do have some memories from Leicester. I played for them as an overseas player a few years ago. I remember scoring a hundred against Sussex.

In the start, Sharjeel, Kami bhai went hard at the bowlers. I was taking my time. When I got set, I went after the bowlers. Shoaib Malik bhai helped me a lot. He guided me about which bowler to target and when. We went well together."
Player of the match: Umar Amin (58 runs off 42 balls & 2 catches)
Fielder of the match: Umar Amin (2 catches dismissing Jon-Jon Smuts & Aaron Phangiso)
Moment of the Match: Umar Amin (Catch dismissing Aaron Phangiso)
We are all set for the post match presentation!
00:22 AM IST, 7:52 PM Local Time: Pakistan Champions on the back of sensational knocks from Umar Amin and Shoaib Malik post a mammoth total in front of South Africa and then the spinners from Pakistan choked the Protea batting, finishing 31 runs in excess.

Aaron Phangiso, stand-in captain for South Africa Champions, won the toss and chose to bowl first. Also announcing that AB de Villiers, has been rested after having a strained hamstring. Imran Tahir too, didn't feature in this contest.

The Pakistani openers came out with all guns blazing. Sharjeel Khan and Kamran Akmal gave Pakistan the early momentum in the powerplay. This was followed by an onslaught from Umar Amin and Shoaib Malik who took their time to get themselves in and then tore through the South African defence.

Asif Ali and Aamer Yamin provided the strong finish to the Pakistani innings taking the side to a score of 198/5 at the end of the 20 overs.

Coming out to chase 198, South Africa never really got going. Wickets kept falling in quick succession and the scoreboard pressure kept piling up. Openers Hashim Amla and Jon-Jon Smuts took off in the first over but then followed one after another.

Spinners dominated the proceedings in the middle overs. Captain Mohammad Hafeez took 2 wickets for 21 runs in 4 overs. Shoaib Malik in his 3 overs took a wicket for 18 runs and Imad Wasim took a wicket for  19 runs in his 3 overs.

Morne van Wyk was the best batter for South Africa and he scored 44(20) not out in the back end of the innings along with Wayne Parnell who added 21 off 9 balls. South Africa Champions eventually ended up 31 runs short of the target.

Pakistan Champions with this win, have gotten their second win of the tournament and move to the second position. South Africa Champions have lost their first game of the tournament and will be looking to bounce back in the next one.
