A day to remember for Prenelan Subrayen, who bagged a five-for on his outing in India. His efforts helped South Africa secure a commanding 75-run lead in the first innings. Several India A batters got starts but couldn’t convert them into big scores. The onus is now on the bowlers to script a comeback from here.
An exciting Day 3 awaits tomorrow. Do join us for our coverage then. For now, this is Ajay Pal Singh signing off on behalf of my colleagues Akshay Bhide, Saptak Sanyal, Manan Mehta, and Rajesh Pal. Goodbye!

5:01 PM IST, Local Time: Stumps on Day 2 and South Africa A finish the day with a lead of 105 with all 10 wickets in hand. Marques Ackerman and his men would be really proud of the work they put in today. First, they bowled out a star-studded India A line-up for 234 in 58 overs and then managed to see off the day without losing any wickets, taking their lead past the 100-run mark.
South Africa A started the day at 299/9. They only managed to add 10 runs in the morning session before Gurnoor Brar knocked over Okuhle Cele.
India A started well as Sai Sudharsan and Ayush Mhatre gave them a fine start, adding 90 runs for the first wicket.
Mhatre fell for 65 and after that, South Africa A kept chipping away with wickets at regular intervals.
Devdutt Padikkal failed with the bat, scoring only 6 runs. Rajat Patidar got a start but was cleaned up by Prenelan Subrayen.
Rishabh Pant, on his return to competitive cricket after a toe injury, made 17 off 20 and looked scratchy.
Ayush Badoni held one end together but with wickets falling around him, he too perished for 38. Subrayen bagged five, Lutho Sipamla got two, while Tshepo Moreki, Okhule Cele and Tiaan van Vuuren all chipped in with a wicket apiece.
South Africa A then batted for the last hour and they got through it without losing any wickets. The visitors added 30 runs in 12 overs to take their lead to 105.
