Finn Allen (Player of the Match): "It definitely shouldn't be me winning this award. The way the boys bowled. Mahli with the energy with which he bowled. It was great to see.

(Why it's so hard to bat here?) It's because of the variable bounce. Their bowlers bowled well and our boys also bowled well. Smudge was the only batter who got going.

(On Mahli Beardman) He's so impressive. He's getting smarter with each game and it's great to see him progress."

5:04 PM IST & 7:34 PM Local Time: That’s it! What a performance this has been from the Perth Scorchers. Man, oh man, they’ve defended a below-par total in absolute style in front of their home crowd. Scorchers have booked their place in the Final of BBL Season 15 and earn the right to host it as well. It’s been a commanding 48-run victory for the men in orange.

Earlier in the day, the Sydney Sixers won the toss and opted to chase. Mitchell Starc made an immediate impact with the ball, striking in his very first over to dismiss Mitchell Marsh for 5. Finn Allen and Aaron Hardie then came together and stitched a steady partnership for the second wicket. Allen took some time to find his timing but once set, he pressed the accelerator, smashing four towering sixes. Just when he was looking set for a big score, he departed at the wrong time, dismissed by Ben Dwarshuis for 49.

The Sixers continued to chip away with regular wickets through the middle phase, with Moises Henriques rotating his bowlers smartly and keeping the Scorchers in check. Perth chose to take the Power Surge very late in the innings and it proved to be a productive move. They scored 23 runs during the Surge, which helped them push closer to the 150-run mark. Valuable contributions down the order from Ashton Turner with 29 off 21 and Jhye Richardson with 20 off 18 ensured the Perth Scorchers finished with a fighting total of 147/9 from their 20 overs. Two wickets apiece for Mitchell Starc (2/32) and Ben Dwarshuis (2/23).

W High in the air and taken by Inglis. Perth Scorchers are yet into another BBL final and they will be hosting it for the sixth time. The fans love it as the Scorchers have beaten the Sixers by 48 runs while defending 148. That's a tremendous bowling effort from them. Coming to the final wicket, this was banged in short by Richardson on the stumps, Dwarshuis backs away and goes for the pull but gets a top edge behind him. Inglis behind the stumps moves to his right and takes a good catch.
14.5 J Richardson to M Starc
1 A slower delivery on the shorter side on the body, 112.5 kmph, Starc tucks it to short fine leg for a run.
14.4 J Richardson to B Dwarshuis
1 Full around leg. 138.2 kmph. Dwarshuis backs away for room and drives it to mid off for a quick single.
