That brings an end to our coverage of this game. Do switch tabs as the second semi-final isn't far away. For now, this is Akshay Bhide, signing off, on behalf of scorers Ghanendra Singh Thakur and Chandan Kumar Singh. Until next time, cheers and goodbye.
Player of the Match: Rishi Dhawan
7:27 PM IST, Local Time: That’s it. Trans Titans win the first semi-final to storm into the final of the Intercontinental Legends Championship 2025. They beat the American Strikers by 7 runs to progress to the grand finale. It was a high-scoring thriller and the Titans have held their nerves to finish on the winning side.

Chasing 240 is never easy in a T20 game. American Strikers got off to a shaky start as openers Gaurav Tomar (10) and Farman Ahmed (8) fell inside the powerplay. Shoaib Khan along with Ayaan Khan led the recovery work for the Strikers and put 62 for the third wicket before the former fell on 42. Ayaan scored 38 before Parvinder Awana sent him packing.

Skipper Pradeep Sangwan played a fantastic cameo of 14-ball 35 before falling at the wrong time in the 15th over. Kuldeep Hooda (25) and Ishan Malhotra (38) kept the Strikers in the game but fell while trying to clear the ropes. With 24 required from the final over, Puneet Mehra (18*) and Akash Tomar (7*) tried hard but it wasn't meant to be for the Strikers as they fell short by seven runs.

Parvinder Awana picked up three wickets for the Titans, giving away 48 runs in his four overs. Varun Sood (2/16) and Samar Quadri (1/38) also entered the wickets column as they defended the total successfully by restricting the Strikers to 232/7 to reach the final of this edition.

Earlier, Jesse Ryder and Rishi Dhawan gave Trans Titans a blazing start after they were inserted into bat. The duo put 73 for the first wicket before Ryder fell on 31. Pratik Athavale (6) and Pinal Shah (14) failed to get going but skipper Dhawan led from the front and raced past his fifty. He held the innings nicely and scored 40-ball 90 before holing out in the deep in the 13th over.

Dhawan’s knock helped his side lay a foundation for a strong finish. Sumeet Verma (44 off 21) and Naman Sharma (48* off 20) made sure that the Titans finished their innings on a high. Both hit some lusty blows in the death overs and powered their side to 239/5 at the end of their 20 overs. Pradeep Sangwan and Shoaib Khan grabbed two scalps each for the Strikers. The Titans then held their nerves and defended the total successfully.

19.6 S Quadri to P Mehra
1 Flighted delivery on off, Mehra mistimes the slog sweep along the ground to deep backward square leg for only a single.
19.5 S Quadri to P Mehra
6 SIXXX!!! Mehra clears the ropes this time. Tossed up by Quadri around off, Mehra gets low and slog sweeps it nicely. Gets plenty of height and distance on this one as the deep square leg fielder is a mere spectator. 9 required from 1.
19.4 S Quadri to P Mehra
2 Short outside off, Mehra goes for the pull but gets a top edge. It falls just short of the deep mid wicket fielder who runs in from the boundary. Two runs completed. 15 from 2 now.
19.3 S Quadri to A Tomar
1 Quadri bowls it slower this time. Pulls his length back a fraction. Drilled down the ground to long off for only a single. 17 from 3 now.
