Right then. We have got the two finalists of T20 Blast 2025. Somerset will take on Hampshire for the ultimate prize. Do switch tabs as the final gets underway shortly. For now, this is Akshay Bhide, signing off, on behalf of my co-commentator Ninaad Dixit and scorer Zeeshan Naiyer. Until next time, cheers and good bye.
Chris Lynn (Player of the Match): "Just hit and look, as simple as that. It's a flat wicket. We are focusing at one ball at a time. We had a couple of batting partnerships.

Probably wanted to hit six sixes more than my hundred. I wanted to join Yuvraj and Polly for those six sixes. Thank you for everyone coming and sticking around in the rain. The body is up and running, the boys have looked at the conditions so we hope to get the job done again."

10:42 PM IST, 6:12 PM Local Time: There you go. Chris Lynn has single-handedly taken Hampshire into the final of the T20 Blast 2025. They will face Somerset in the summit clash. Lynn hits a sensational century and Northamptonshire didn't have any answers to the onslaught as they suffer a heavy defeat by six wickets to bow out of the competition.

Chasing a DLS revised target of 155, Chris Lynn gave Hampshire a flying start. He took on the Northamptonshire’s new-ball bowlers upfront. Despite losing his opening partner Toby Albert (8) cheaply, Lynn kept scoring at a brisk rate and brought up a quickfire fifty off just 24 balls. Skipper James Vince labored his way to 12 before falling in the ninth over.

Saif Zaib dismissed Ben Mayes (9) and Alastair Orr (2) in a quick succession but Lynn was unfazed as he kept going strong. Lynn broke the back of the chase in the 15th over, when he smashed Lloyd Pope for five successive maximums. In the process, he brought up his hundred off just 49 balls, the first-ever on a Finals Day.

Lynn remained unbeaten on 108 off just 51 balls as Hampshire chased down the total in just 15.4 overs with six wickets in hand. Lynn's knock comprised five fours and 11 maximums as he played one of the best knocks in the history of the competition, guiding Hampshire to the final of this year's T20 Blast.

Earlier, there was a delayed start to the match due to rain. Hampshire opted to bowl first and got off to a decent start. They dismissed skipper David Willey (0), Ricardo Vasconcelos (19) and Ravi Bopara (9) inside the powerplay to reduce Northamptonshire to 50/3 at the end of six overs.

Bjorn Fortuin cleaned up Tim Robinson (11) right after the powerplay. Justin Broad looked good at the crease but lacked support as Saif Zaib (3) and Lewis McManus (12) were sent packing cheaply. The game was reduced to 18-overs per-side due to a short rain break in the 11th over.

Broad (61*) brought up a fantastic fifty and received good support from Luke Procter (30) as the 70-run stand between them powered the Northants to 158/7 at the end of their innings. Scott Currie (2/34) picked up two scalps for Hampshire. Lynn then went berserk in the chase and scored 108* to take his side home with 14 balls to spare.
