So, that is it from myself, Karthik Raj, my co-commentators, Saptak Sanyal, Darpan and our scorer for this match, Zeeshan Naiyer. Do stay tuned to our coverage with a lot more cricketing action coming up later today (Thursday)
Hasan Ali has become the only second Pakistani bowler to take five wicket haul in all three formats after Umar Gul.
Salman Ali Agha (Pakistan Captain):"(Regarding Pakistan recovering to score 200+ after a bad start) Yeah, after we 5/2, everyone chipped in. This is what we want. Want to do well as a team in all three departments. We want people to come and take the game on.
(On Hasan Ali's five-wicket haul) Everyone is saying he is bowling like he was in 2017. He was working so hard and it is paying off. He did well in the PSL and tonight now.
(About the all-rounders Pakistan have) It is just a luxury we have. We have Saim Ayub as well who can bowl four overs. Can't ask for more with the number of all-round options we have. Will rest tomorrow and come back the day after for the 2nd game."
Litton Das (Bangladesh Captain): "We did not bowl well, bat well and field well. We have to comeback well. (It is) not only about bowling and batting, we have to field well too. 200 was chaseable. It is a small ground. But we lost wickets in the middle overs. Jaker Ali played well. He is a key player. But one player cannot win you the game. We can't do much in practice (in the one day before the next game) but we can prepare mentally. Cricket is more a mental game."
Shadab Khan (Player of the Match):"My comeback was not that good but I worked really hard. I thank the almighty that my PSL went well and it gave me a lot of confidence.
Still I think there are things I need to improve. When I was batting, spinner bowled the 19th over. If the ball was bowled short and away from the batter, it was difficult for the batters. So I got the idea and bowled the short balls."
Player of the Match: Shadab Khan
Energetic Batter of the Match: Agha Salman
Time for the post-match presentations.
Hasan Ali (Pakistan): "Thought was simple. I had to bowl in the right areas. I think credit goes to the batters. They put up a good score. That allowed us to bowl to our plans. What more can I ask for? I am making a comeback and I have picked a fifer.
In T20 cricket, conditions are generally easier for batters. Hence, you have to have variations of pace. I executed my variations at the right time.
(On his injury and comeback) The rehab was boring. You need dedication, passion and hunger for it. It was a career threatening injury. But I am grateful to PCB and the physio who worked with me.
(On coach Mike Hesson) Hesson's message was simple. We had to play modern T20 cricket. The basics were nicely executed. The head coach must be happy."
