That's it from the encounter. New Zealand beat Zimbabwe by 60 runs. They will be facing off against South Africa in the grand finale of the ensuing tri-series. This is Arijit Kundu signing off along with co-commentator Anirudh Modi and scorer Paras Yadav. Stay tuned for more such cricketing action.
Mitchell Santner (New Zealand Captain): "I think the way we step up with the bat. I think when you get a hundred-run partnership, it is always important. I think throughout the series, we have done a good job. Whether that's the way to go about in the final or not, but different guys stepping up at different times can be a headache at times. We're pretty good with that. We have played in this kinda wicket before. We have played against South Africa, we know what to do there."
Ish Sodhi (Player of the Match): "Great team win for New Zealand and it's nice to contribute with the wickets. Slightly new role for me but I'm happy. It's been a long career, so it's nice to contribute in a new role and help out Bracewell.
I think it was quite low, when you bowled a few cross seamers, it will skid on. You can get a little bit greedy at times, but I just want to perform my best and the wickets will come in."

Sikandar Raza (Zimbabwe Captain): "I think the wicket got better in the second innings but we have repeated our mistakes. After the first over, the ball was coming on well but we keep digging ourselves in a hole.
The catches we dropped hurt us and both Bracewell and Seifert hurt us. I thought it took us a bit of time to get into the game. I spoke to the squad about if it's a dead rubber for them that doesn't mean the same for us, but we took some time to wake up.
With Test matches, we will have some of our senior cavalry back with Sean, Craig, myself and Blessing so that will help. It will take some time and patience and it has to come from me and I have to take that role. But the mistake made today is non negotiable and I'll address that today.
Hopefully we will have a better outing in Test cricket."
Time for the post-match presentation ceremony..
7:53 PM IST and 4:23 PM Local Time: New Zealand end the tri series with all win, just opposite of what the hosts have been in this tri-series.
Chasing a target of 191 runs, the Chevrons were nowhere near the chase. They lost Brian Bennett in the third over, courtesy of Ish Sodhi's premature introduction in the attack. He operated inside the powerplay in stunning fashion, adding to Matt Henry's couple of wickets inside this phase to sum up Zimbabwe's 38/4 in six overs. Although Tony Munyonga and Tashinga Musekiwa showed some valor, it wasn't enough for Zimbabwe. With the pressure building, they faltered as New Zealand won by 60 runs. Sodhi was the pick of the bowlers, bagging a four-for.
Earlier, the Black Caps won the toss and elected to bat first. Despite losing a wicket early, Rachin Ravindra and Tom Seifert's fifties laid the foundation for a big total in the first innings. The former departed for a 39-ball 63 knock while the wicketkeeper-batter scored 75 off 45 balls before Michael Bracewell's 16-ball 26-run cameo propelled New Zealand to 190 runs on the board.
