Milestone
Right then. The dress rehearsal game before the final is over. New Zealand have rattled South Africa for the second time in this Tri Series. There is one more game for the Kiwis before the big-ticket game. They will play Zimbabwe in the last league game!

See you then! This is Arjun Bhalla signing off on behalf of Saptak Sanyal, Paras Yadav and Aman.
Mitchell Santner (New Zealand Captain): "I think the way we bowled in the powerplay was outstanding. We were able to squeeze the run and found the length, some swing and we just did what we had done in most games. We got a lot of swing which is always nice to see. To restrict them to 30 odd in the powerplay was great.

I think as I said on the toss, taking wickets in the powerplay puts you in a good position. As a spinner it is nice to see it to spin. We don't get it often in New Zealand.

I think we are pretty set before the final. Foulkesey and Will came in and bowled really well. The change up in the next few days will be important.
Tim Seifert (Player of the Match): "It is always good from a confidence point of view. But we are playing great as a team. Look, Zimbabwe have taller bowlers and the South Africans have skidder bowlers, but it is always to hit runs against any side. It was a kind of wicket where he fell that you never settle in. On these surfaces, you have graft your innings."
Player of the Match: Tim Seifert
Rassie van der Dussen (South Africa Captain): "We expected the ball to do a bit but we were not good enough. We lost wickets throughout and failed to gain the momentum.

We were experimental to send Pretorius below. He is a very clean hitter of the ball. Just unfortunately we were not good enough in the field. Muthusamy put in a great performance on a personal level. He had a low score to defend but still found a way to be effective.

We need to find the best combination before the final. To get the combination, stay fresh and go for the final will be the key. We are keen to go for the trophy on Saturday. We have to get it right on that day."

7:25 PM IST, 3:55 PM Local Time: It has been a lopsided victory for the New Zealanders as they have beaten the Proteas in this dress rehearsal game before the big finals on Saturday. With this victory, the Kiwis have made two in two over the South Africans in this Tri-Series.

If Adam Milne and Mitch Santner ruled over the Proteas batters, then it was Tim Seifert's turn in the chase.

Seifert and Devon Conway gave the BlackCaps a solid start in the powerplay, hitting the team fifty in no time.

The opening duo went behind the SA seamers as they shared a 51-run stand for the first wicket off just 32 balls. However, the introduction of Andile Simelane saw Conway's back.

The Proteas tried gripping the game by bowling their spin trios in tandem. Senuran Muthusamy and George Linde squeezed the game into their court by stopping the run flow. The former, meanwhile, took two wickets in his spell of four wickets.

However, Seifert didn't allow the spinners to get overfriendly. He smashed his 11th T20I fifty - his first one of the series and as many against the Proteas, putting New Zealand in the driving seat.

After the opener's fifty, it just became a formality. As a result, New Zealand won this game in the 16th over with seven wickets in hand.
