So that marks the end of our coverage from the 4th T20I match of the ongoing Tri-Series between Zimbabwe, South Africa and New Zealand. With today's defeat, Zimbabwe have lost three consecutive games in this tournament and are eliminated. South Africa and New Zealand will play the final of the tournament on 26th July, Saturday.

For now, this is Saptak Sanyal signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Akshay Bhide and the scorer/analyst of this match Paras Yadav. Good night.
Highest 3rd Wicket Partnership for South Africa in any Away T20I Match:

133- AB de Villiers/Richard Levi vs New Zealand (Hamilton, 19th February, 2012)

112- JP Duminy/Faf du Plessis vs Sri Lanka (Hambantota, 6th August, 2013)

106- Rassie van der Dussen/Rubin Hermann vs Zimbabwe (Harare, 20th July, 2025, TODAY)
Rassie van der Dussen (South Africa Captain): "Just overall improvement in every aspect. Really chuffed about the bowling. The seamers set the tone. The spinners were under pressure but those two guys - Corbin and Nandre in the end were just brilliant.

There are always areas to improve. I think our ground fielding was a bit bumpy. Lads are allowed to bat. Batting, I don't find any fault there.

As in general this whole series, I think we will look at a 3-match series against South Africa. We are one game down and we will take the opportunity and make it 1-1 and get into the final.

The spinners have been brilliant. Impressed with everyone. George will be a bit disappointed and Peter will learn a lot from this.

I love playing here. You can still hear the crowd cheering. Informed crowd."
Rubin Hermann (Player of the Match): "I wish I could finish the games off. But I am happy. I just tried to play the balls and back my instincts and decided to see what happens next. I just decided to play the shots as possible. There's a bit of low bounce and a short boundary as well.

Batting on this wicket needs some good cricket shots to be played. I just did that and got the success."
Player of the Match: Rubin Hermann
Sikandar Raza (Zimbabwe Captain): "At one point, when Burly and Benni were going on, I thought we could get 170. Chasing is easier here. The wicket gets better. But those are not excuses. There were plenty of balls that went to the keeper. Some bat on it and runs would have come. South Africa showed us how to play.

That dot ball percentage was crucial. It's a key area. We have to stay calmer and play according to the wicket. Bat on ball could have got us 20 more. If that happened, you never know.

I need to do better with bat and ball. If I strike early, it gives my teammates confidence. I have to contribute with both bat and ball.

Batting in patches was slightly better today. Hopefully, we can get all the pieces together in the final game and get a win."
7:41 PM IST and 4:11 PM Local Time | South Africa have defeated Zimbabwe by 7 wickets and with 16 balls to go and have booked a berth in the summit clash. They will play New Zealand in the final on the upcoming Saturday. Zimbabwe have lost three group matches and are eliminated.

Winning the toss, South Africa decided to bowl first and Zimbabwe got off to a shaky start. They could score only 29 in their powerplay overs losing Wessly Madhevere and Clive Madande. Sikandar Raza and Bennett added 16 for the 3rd wicket before Raza's slog sweep found Nandre Burger at deep square leg.

Brian Bennett and Ryan Burl then decided to take their time before playing their shots. At the halfway mark of their innings, Zimbabwe posted only 55 runs on the board. That's when the duo pressed the accelerator button. They added 67 runs in the next 35 balls but in the final ball of the 16th over, Brian Bennett's middle stump was disturbed by a pace-off delivery off Lungi Ngidi. The opener top scored with 61 runs beside his name from 43 balls. After Bennett's dismissal, the things went sloppy again for the hosts. They lost two wickets in quick successions and Ryan Burl found it difficult to hit the boundaries. They added only 22 from the final 4 overs and finished with 144/6 on the board.

For South Africa, Corbin Bosch bowled with utmost discipline and finished with 16/2 from his 4 overs. Lungi Ngidi, Nandre Burger and Nqaba Peter finished with a wicket each.

Coming to chase the 145-run target, Protea openers faced difficulty in making their strokes as Ngarava and his partners found good movement off the pitch. Lhuan-dre Pretorius got out for just 4. Reeza Hendricks toiled really hard in the middle for 13 balls to score only 6.

Skipper Rassie van der Dussen and Rubin Hermann remained firm in the crease after that. They decided to play the pacers out and go hard against the spinners. Raza came to bowl his second over and Hermann smoked him for a couple of boundaries and that thwarted the momentum to the Proteas. Hermann and RVD then added runs at will after that. Their partnership of 106 runs off 68 balls created the foundation of South Africa's victory. Hermann's stumps were hit by Ngarava on 63 off 36 balls.

Rassie van der Dussen played the second fiddle to Hermann throughout his innings and reached to his fifty in 40 balls. He remained unbeaten on 52 off 41 balls with 6 boundaries. Brevis hit Trevor Gwandu for a maximum to start the 18th over and just two balls later, the latter bowled a wide and that was the winning run for the Proteas.

For Zimbabwe, Tinotenda Maposa took 2 wickets for 38 runs and Richard Ngarava took a wicket.
