5:06 PM IST and Local Time- The Lucknow Lions have clinched this game easily in the end by 7 wickets and it has been on the back of an unreal hitting by Akash Yadav and Deepak Meena. Yadav ended up with a 100 while Meena finished things off with a MAXIMUM to get to his 50. The Lions managed to achieve the herculean task of chasing down 231 and they did it with four balls to spare.
The opening pair of Akash Yadav and Ubaid Khan went hammer and tongs in the powerplay and set the platform for the run chase as they started matching the Delhi batters who played well in the early phase. The duo put on 78 runs for the opening wicket when Khan was dismissed finally.
Asif got rid of Bobby Yadav but Akash Yadav was going nowhere. He kept smashing the big ones and went past 50 in no time. The pair of Meena and Akash Yadav went after the bowling and brought the equation back under control. He scored his 100 from just 24 balls as the Delhi bowlers looked clueless under pressure.
The bowlers travelled the distance and they failed to defend a score of 231. All of them went for boundaries and sixes galore as the pair of Akash Yadav and Deepak Meena teed off.
