Babar Azam (Peshawar Zalmi captain): "We tried a different combination and it clicked. We lost early wickets but the way (Mohammad) Haris and Tom (Kohler-Cadmore) batted, that gave us the momentum and we ran away with it. Ali Raza bowled really well. He is a confident player and believes in himself. He always wants to learn from his seniors. Even in the training session, (Arif) Yaqoob was bowling really well. We were struggling in the middle overs. But he proved to be the game changer. (On Rizwan's wicket) I thought that the spinners might get some grip. Hence, I went to Saim (Ayub) and it worked."

Abdul Samad (Player of the Match): "First of all thanks to the almighty. I had a good run in the domestic cricket. Hence, there were a lot of expectations on my shoulders. I am happy that I was able to deliver. The slower balls were holding up in the wicket. So, me and Mitchell Owen were talking that we need to play according to the situation. We knew what the bowlers were going to deliver according to the field set. The execution was good."
