Prabhsimran Singh (POTM): "Thank you, sir, thank you so much.
Exactly. This was a good innings from me. For us, these two points matter the most. Thankfully, it came on a winning cause.
I was well-set, scoring 20-25 runs following the dropped catch. I got a chance, and I wanted to make it count. I wanted to capitalise it and score big. We got those big runs in the end. We took our time to read the pitch. Once we did, we knew the par score in above 200.
We are trying to play as per the situation demands. If you look at our batters, they play accordingly. There are one or two such batters who perform for us even though we collapse in any game. We are happy that we have performed well and won."
Player of the Match: Prabhsimran Singh
Shreyas Iyer (Punjab Kings Captain): "We are elated to be honest. I think everyone stepped up at the right time and contributed for the team. Specially, Prabh the way he performed today was exceptional. All the shots he played were soothing to the eyes.
I am glad that I didn't know about it. I just stepped in to win the match and I am happy that we have done that. We have been lucky a bit but the luck has shown with the way everyone has worked hard behind the scenes.
Yes absolutely. As I mentioned, everyone stepped up at the right time. The way everyone executed their roles was just top notch. There is only one thing which we need to improve, that is the awareness in the field with the way we move. That's something we want to tick the box.
I think we just want to back ourselves and back our instincts. We want to have a positive mindset when we step onto the field. Results matter for us and that's winning."
