Milestone
The last time Mumbai Indians won four or more IPL matches in a row, they lifted the title in 2020.
Mumbai Indians are back in business! MI have once again started slow but are hitting top gear at just the right time. With a resounding 7-wicket win over Sunrisers Hyderabad in their own backyard, they’ve now racked up 4 consecutive victories, storming their way up to third place on the points table.

On the other hand, it’s concern time for Sunrisers Hyderabad. Their biggest strength — the top order is turning into a vulnerability, and it’s cost them dearly yet again. Back-to-back losses have dented their rhythm, and it’s an uphill task ahead for the Orange Army if they want to stay in playoff contention.

Tomorrow, it’s a reverse fixture in the Battle of Royals — RCB vs RR at the Chinnaswamy Stadium! For now, this is Pritam Dey signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Akshay Bhide & Ninaad Dixit who, along with scorers/analysts Paras Yadav and Manish Bishnoi and statistician Aman brought all the updates of this clash. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the world. BYE BYE👋

Trent Boult (Player of the Match): "Just nice to contribute to a good win. A big game for us and to keep such a quality side to a decent score at their home was satisfying.

The old rule of thumb. Just hit the wicket and try and make the players good shots. Deepak did a tremendous job from another end to bowl 4 in a row again. We're just trying to keep it simple. Trying to put pressure on the batters and nice to see a couple of catches being held.

[Preference of bowling in which stage] I'd love to bowl 4 in a row and let it swing around all the time but that doesn't always go to plan. As a bowler you have to be ready to go at any stage. Slightly different role from me this year but I am enjoying my time in blue and gold. Looking forward to hopefully contributing more and pushing us further up the table.

[On bowling more yorkers] It's a low percentage ball. I see there's a few more yorkers being bowled across the competition so some of the older fashion bowlers used to say you can't beat a good yorker.

I still love the feeling of competing, taking wickets and getting into battle with some of the best batters in the world. It's a huge tournament. There are hundreds and thousands of bowlers that would love to be out here doing the job that we're doing so just not taking that for granted and give it a good crack."

Hardik Pandya (Mumbai Indians Captain): "I mean, honestly, good to have the win behind our back. I'm glad that the boys are taking the momentum in the right way.

Everyone. I have always felt that in this team, once everyone starts clicking, it will be a clear domination. Deepak bowled well. Boult bowled well. Rohit batted well and Surya finished it.

(On bowling Chahar four overs at one go) Captaincy is about instincts. I try to read the game and react. I do have the plans in my mind. But if in situations like these, he bowled well in the powerplay, I thought there isn't any reason to hold him back.

(On bowling Vignesh Puthur) We wanted them to take a chance and give us a wicket. They were already five down. I thought they wouldn't take chances against Santner. He's (Puthur) a young man and I understand. It happens.

When you get better in all departments, we have spoken about being smart and clinical. So far, very satisfied."
Most Dot balls in the Match: Deepak Chahar (17 dots)
