Player Bio
Emerging from the bustling streets of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, Zeeshan Ansari has carved a niche for himself in the annals of Indian cricket. Born on December 16, 1999, Ansari's journey from local playgrounds to prominent cricketing arenas is a testament to his unwavering dedication and innate talent.

Standing at 5'9", Ansari's right-arm leg spin is reminiscent of the legendary Shane Warne, one of his cricketing idols. His repertoire includes the traditional leg-break, googly, and a well-disguised flipper. Under the mentorship of Gopal Singh, Ansari has refined his technique, focusing on flight, drift, and subtle variations to outfox batters.

Growing up in Lucknow, a city with a rich sporting heritage, Ansari was naturally drawn to cricket. His father, Naeem Ansari, a tailor by profession, provided unwavering support, ensuring that financial constraints never hindered his son's aspirations. From a young age, Ansari showcased a proclivity for leg-spin bowling, a craft that would later define his cricketing identity.

In the Vijay Merchant Trophy, he showcased his burgeoning talent, leading to his subsequent participation in the Cooch Behar Trophy.

Ansari's prowess culminated in his selection for the 2016 ICC U19 Cricket World Cup. At just 16, he emerged as India's leading wicket-taker, claiming 12 wickets in six matches with an average of 15.08.

Ansari's consistent performances paved the way for his first-class debut for Uttar Pradesh in the 2017–18 Ranji Trophy on October 6, 2017. In his debut inning, he bagged three wickets, followed by another three in the respective match innings.

Ansari's adaptability was further showcased in the T20 format. In his debut T20 match, he bowled 24 deliveries, though he did not secure any wickets in that game.

The Indian Premier League (IPL), a platform where talent meets opportunity, beckoned Ansari in 2025. He was signed by the Sunrisers Hyderabad for INR 40 lakhs, marking a significant milestone in his career.

Beyond the boundary ropes, Ansari is known for his humble demeanor and strong family values. He often credits his family's support, especially his father's sacrifices, as the cornerstone of his success.

A devout individual, Ansari's faith plays a pivotal role in grounding him amidst the highs and lows of professional sports. At 25, Ansari's cricketing journey is still unfolding. With aspirations to don the national colors in all formats, he continues to work diligently on his craft.
