Milestone
Phew! What a game we have had tonight. The first real thriller of IPL 2025! This is a sign of what is to come. LSG were in full command of the fixture at the halfway mark but DC's local boys turned things around in a dramatic way to pull off a heist. LSG crumbled under pressure, especially on the field but don't take anything away from Ashutosh Sharma, who is going to be a special, special player in the time to come. Tomorrow, we have GT taking on PBKS and don't forget to join us again.

For now, this is me AkshayaKrishna Polya signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Akshay Bhide and Pritam Dey, who alongside our scorers Paras Yadav and Raju Khariya and statistician Aman brought you all the live coverage of this cracking encounter. We will meet again. Until then, it's cheers!
Ashutosh Sharma (Player of the Match): "Yes, I have got back my breath. Well, I have learnt this since last season. There were 2-3 occasions last season when I took the gap deep but left it out there and got out at the wrong time. I have focused on it in the entire year and I have worked on it very closely. I tried finishing games in Domestic Cricket too.

Well, I have a lot of a believe on myself. I knew that if I can take the game till the last over, anything is possible. If you can narrow the equation, anything is possible in T20 cricket. Whatever I did in the nets, I wanted to play the same shots and backed myself.

(On Vipraj Nigam) Firstly I would like to tell Vipraj, Well played! I just told him one thing that if you are confident that you can hit boundaries then keep on going. I was constantly chatting with him.

I just wanted to execute whatever I have worked hard so far in the practice sessions. I am very pleased and I want to dedicate this award to my mentor, Shikhar Paaji (Dhawan) who is not here at the moment."
PLAYER OF THE MATCH: ASHUTOSH SHARMA
Axar Patel (Delhi Capitals Captain): "Get used to it. Under my captaincy, you will see a lot of results like these (laughs). We got the win so we won't talk a lot. Why did you give bowling to Stubbs and all that. But after losing four wickets inside the powerplay, it was a great effort to get across the line.

It started from last year due to the impact player rule. The bowlers get hit but they continue to get wickets. As a bowler, if you think you will get hit, there is always an option that you will get wickets.

I thought with the way they played in the first six overs, I thought we gave some extra runs. There were dropped catches as well. But in the last seven overs, we bowled very well. We gave 40-odd runs. It looked like they would get to 240-250 but we did very well to pull back things.

We are doing the camp since the last week. Everyone knows each other's potential. We thought Nigam has the potential. In the future games, he will continue to flourish."
