So that marks the end of our coverage from the 10th match of the IML 2025 between Sri Lanka Master and West Indies Masters. Sri Lanka Masters have done well to come out victorious in this game.

For now, this is Saptak Sanyal signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Ninaad Dixit and our scorer/analyst Chandan Kumar Singh. Good night.
Kumar Sangakkara (Sri Lanka Masters Captain): "The team has played really well. The death bowlers read the wicket very well. All three fast bowlers executed really well. They played a lot of international cricket and the spinners also helped them. I think the wicket also played a good role.

Gunaratne has a lot of experience. He finished a lot of games for our country. He scored a 80-odd against the Australia. I think my innings was a bit slow. The ball was gripping.

[On being nostalgic of the 2012 T20 World Cup final] I think the West Indies team from that match was quite different. But nevertheless, it feels good to win."
Player of the Match: Asela Gunaratne
Power Player of the Match: Kumar Sangakkara
Most Sixes of the Match: Asela Gunaratne
Time for the post-match presentations.
Denesh Ramdin (West Indies Masters Captain): "We didn't get partnerships and lost the momentum. It was difficult to score in the last two overs. We will try to put in a good performance.

We almost bowled 24 overs including the extras and we lost by almost that margin. We can work on restricting the teams. We have couple of niggles here and there, quick turnaround but it is a big game.

Most definitely Lara will be back in Raipur for the big encounter against India. Hopefully the fans come out."
11:25 PM IST and Local Time | Sri Lanka Masters have won the game by 21 runs. Their bowling has been clinical and they outplayed the West Indies Masters to get their second consecutive victory in the tournament.

Denesh Ramdin won the toss earlier and he sent Sri Lanka masters to bat first. His decision proved to be a correct one as Sri Lanka batters found it difficult to score runs. They lost Upul Tharanga cheaply. Kumar Sangakkara and Lahiru Thirimanne got a few streaky boundaries before Thirimanne got out on 14. Sangakkara and Gunaratne were going well together but Sangakkara's innings was cut short by Ashley Nurse on 47. Asela Gunaratne was the star of the show scoring 64 runs from 45 balls hitting 7 fours and 2 maximums. Chaturanga de Silva played a fine cameo of 17 runs from 8 balls to help his team go past the 170-run mark.

West Indies bowlers bowled well and Ashley Nurse was the star picking up 3 wickets for just 23 runs. Tino Best took 2 wickets in his 4 overs conceding 43 runs but he conceded 12 wides which proved to be costly for his team.

Coming to chase the 174-run target, Windies lost their opener Chadwick Walton for a golden duck. Dwayne Smith and Narsingh Deonarine struggled hard in the crease in their partnership of 59 runs off 49 balls. Smith hit a few boundaries after the strategic time-out but he was denied of his fifty by 1 run. His 49-run knock included 6 fours and 2 sixes. Deonarine fell soon after scoring a miserable 14 off 21 balls and West Indies Masters reeled back in the run chase.

Lendl Simmons gave all the efforts on his way to score an unbeaten 37 off 31 balls but his efforts were not enough. He got almost no assistance from the other end. Jonathan Carter scored only 17 and skipper Denesh Ramdin remained unbeaten on 15 off 11 balls with 2 fours. West Indies Masters fell short of their target by 21 runs.

For Sri Lanka Masters, Isuru Udana took 2 wickets. Chaturanga de Silva and Jeevan Mendis took a wicket each. Their death bowling was exceptional and that gave them the advantage in the defence.

Stay tuned for the post-match presentations.
