Milestone
So Yorkshire have picked up a crucial victory to get their T20 blast campaign on track. It is time for me, Sourya Chowdhury to bid adieu along with my fellow commentator Utsav Chandak and scorer Ghanendra Singh Thakur.
10:44pm IST, 6:14pm local time I A perfect team performance from Yorkshire at home has given them a much-needed victory in the T20 blast tonight. Defending a gargantuan 213/7, they were immaculate with the ball, putting Leicestershire in trouble from the get-go. Wickets fell at regular intervals and the required rate kept climbing as the Foxes failed to get going. Dom Bess (2/25), brought all his experience into play with his off-spinners wreaking havoc. He was both economical and deadly during his stint with the white ball. Bess was ably supported by the speedster Will O’Rourke and the wily Jafer Chohan (4/27) who was the pick of the bowlers with his leg-spinners picking up four important scalps. Only Logan van Beek (26), crossed 20 for the hapless visitors, who were never in the chase.

Earlier, put into bat, Yorkshire rode opener Dawid Malan (88 off 48) and Will Luxton’s (62 off 34) massive partnership to reach an imposing 213/7 from their quota of 20 overs. After they lost opener Adam Lyth early, the two put on 132 for the second wicket, punishing the Leicestershire bowling with verve and timing to set up the platform. Luxton scored his first 50 for Yorkshire, while Malan, who was particularly severe on the mid-wicket and extra cover boundaries, missed out on a deserved century.  Dom Bess came out to hit 18 off six to put the icing on the cake. Logan van Beek took three wickets but conceded 47 runs. Roman Walker also got two wickets while Matt Salisbury impressed in patches. However, none of the bowlers really put a break on the scoring even though a flurry of wickets fell late.

W TWO IN TWO! Jafer gets his fourth. Full ball, turned back in sharply from outside off stump and disturbs the furniture. A win for Yorkshire after 4 games, but oh boy! wasn't the wait worth it? Leicestershire all out for 107 chasing 214.

W GONEEE!!! Another one bites the dust. Full ball, way outside off. Batter charges outside the creases, but misses the ball. Keeper stumps him with ease.
