That’s all from today’s coverage of the Match 25 of ILT20 2024 between Sharjah Warriorz and Abu Dhabi Knight Riders.

I’m Gourav Samal, signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Sourabh Agrawal and scorer/analyst Zeeshan Naiyer who brought all the live updates of the match for you. Thank you for joining us. Stay tuned for all cricketing actions around the world. Good Night.
Adam Zampa (Player Of The Match): Out there trying to do my role, trying to get the wickets of the big batters is my role and happy that it came out well in the last couple of matches.

I have a natural competitor in me (smiles). There are some good batters out there and Sharjah is not big enough for them.

I was under the pump after the first over, Mayers and Chase hit me for sixes and I had to get out of the over with some defensive bowling. Had a chat about the matchup with Russell, obviously it will go one of the two ways, he could hit you out of the park, glad that he didn't
Tim Southee (Sharjah Warriorz Captain)- Yeah we played well but it’s a T20 game so such situations are quite usual. It’s nice to be in a good position on the points table at this point of the tournament. We have one more game in the league stage, hopefully we perform better and win it as well.
Sunil Narine (Abu Dhabi Knight Riders Captain): "I would not say we lost it, we were still in the game till the end. We were looking for 200 but then got only 160, we lost our way with the bat after the powerplay. They went hard in the powerplay and I think we dragged it back with wickets.

Everyone has done their jobs but it is about the key moments. We knew we had to win 2 out of 3 and now we have made it harder for ourselves.

(About bowling himself in the powerplay) It all depends upon the situation of the game, it the team requires me to bowl in the powerplay, I will do it."

Time for Presentation.
11:36 PM IST and 10:06 PM Local Time | That's the end of the contest. Although Abu Dhabi Knight Riders tried to pull back the game towards the end of the game but Sharjah Warriorz managed to defeat them by 4 wickets with 6 balls to spare.

After losing the toss and put into bat first, Kyle Mayers and Andries Gous opened the innings for
Abu Dhabi Knight Riders. They faced an early setback as Gous was dismissed for a duck in the first over. Joe Clarke, who joined Mayers in the middle, could only score 15 in 8 balls.  Mayers alongwith Roston Chase added 58 runs for the third wicket before Chase was dismissed for 32 in 21 balls. Mayers remained the top scorer of the innings with 56 in 35 balls. Alishan Sharafu contributed with 17 in 23 balls. Towards the end, Jason Holder played a quick fire knock of 26 in 17 balls. They posted 161/8 at the end of the 20th over.

For
Sharjah Warriorz, Adam Milne and Adam Zampa took three wickets each, while Dilshan Madushanka and Ashton Agar picked one wicket each in the innings.

Chasing a target of 162 on the board, Tom Kohler-Cadmore and Johnson Charles opened the innings for Sharjah Warriorz. The duo added 66 runs for the first wicket before TKC was dismissed for 39 in 21 balls. Charles went on to bring his one more half century as he scored 65 in 35 balls. Unfortunately they lost back to back wickets in the middle that built the pressure on the middle order. It was Ashton Agar who stayed calm at the end and scored an unbeaten 12* in 10 balls to help his team win the match.

For Abu Dhabi Knight Riders, Sunil Narine and Jason Holder took two wickets each in the innings. Vijayakanth Viyaskanth and Terrance Hinds managed to pick one wicket each in the innings.

1nb GAME, SET, MATCH, SHARJAH WARRIORZ WIN AND THEY KEEP THEIR CAMPAIGN ALIVE! Short of a length angled in from round the wicket and Harmeet goes for the pull, gets a big top-edge which goes over the keeper, it plugs in the outfield but somehow makes it way to the ropes finally. Moreover, the umpire signals it a no-ball too so it would have not mattered then.
