This marks the ends of our coverage from the final group league match of the Bangladesh Premier League 2025 between Fortune Barishal and Chittagong Kings. Chittagong Kings have done incredibly well to come out victorious by 24 runs.

For now, I am Saptak Sanyal signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Deepak Prakash and our scorer/analyst Dushyant Madhukar Kumar. Good night.
Fortune Barishal and Chittagong Kings will once again have a face-off in the first qualifier of the Bangladesh Premier League 2025 on 3rd February. The match will start from 6 PM.
Mohammad Mithun (Chittagong Kings Captain): "It is very important for the players to click in the later stages of the tournament. The players who were in off-form, have got their form back. We have a good team environment. Panicking doesn't exist here. Everybody trusts each other. We don't have stars or some big players but we have a good team bonding."
Parvez Hossain Emon (Player of the Match): "I just tried to play my natural game. I just tried to carry forward the good start I got. Everyone in our team has played well and we got the results. We were in need of the momentum and gladly we got that."
Player of the Match: Parvez Hossain Emon
Tamim Iqbal (Fortune Barishal Captain): "To be very honest, we didn't bowl well. There was enough for the pacers and spinners but we didn't do well. We created a few chances but didn't get the wickets. It is very pleasing to see Ebadot coming back and bowling his heart out.

The beauty of this team is that how badly we start, we have the ability to fight back. Yes in the next game, we have to apply our ability as well. Chittagong Kings have played some good cricket.
Time for the post-match presentations.
9:49 PM IST and 10:19 PM Local Time | Chittagong Kings have won the game by 24 runs and booked a spot in the first two spots in the points table. They will face Fortune Barishal in the qualifier-1.

Coming to bat first in this game, Parvez Hossain Emon batted brilliantly to power his team to a good start. Emon lost Khawaja Nafay but he played his shits as Graham Clark played a good anchoring role. Clark got out for 26 off 21 balls. But Emon's brilliance continued. He got out for 75 off 41 balls with a solitary boundary and 8 long maximums. Haider Ali batted well to remain unbeaten on 42 off 23 balls with 3 fours and an equal number of maximums. Shamim Hossain Patwari played a valuable cameo off 30 runs from 12 balls to take the team score past the 200-run mark.

Taijul Islam took 2 wickets for Barishal and he was assisted by Ebadot Hossain and Mohammad Nabi who took a wicket each.

Binura Fernando wreaked havoc with the ball as he made the Fortune Barishal batters fall in trouble with the movement. He took the important wicket of Tamim Iqbal and created the dot ball pressure to which Towhid Hridoy succumbed. But two veteran cricketers, Mushfiqur Rahim and Dawid Malan continued the fightback. They were watchful till the first half of the run chase and Malan opened up after that. He hit a few boundaries and maximums to take his score to 67 off 34 balls with 5 fours and 6 maximums. Rahim got out for 24.

The momentum got shifted to Chittagong Kings when Malan and Mohammad Nabi were back in the pavillion in a very quick succession. After that, Mahmudullah added an unbeaten 41 off 29 balls but that was not enough. James Fuller also chipped in with his 11-ball 18 run knock but the Kings bowlers were good to restrict them to 182.

For the Chittagong Kings, Binura Fernando and Aliss Al Islam took 2 wickets apiece. Khaled Ahmed and Arafat Sunny took one wicket each.
