That's all from this low-scoring thriller, folks! For now, it's me Deepak Prakash signing off on behalf of scorer/analyst Manish Bishnoi. CHEERS!
Taskin Ahmed (Durbar Rajshahi Captain): "Yeah, before the start of the match, there was plenty of drama as our foreign players didnāt arrive, and the day didnāt start well for us. But we promised ourselves weād give 100% on the field because the BPL is our pride.
We discussed that it wasnāt easy to score, and we thought we were 15-20 runs short. But we gave an extra 10-15% effort and ended up doing well."
Mrittunjoy Chowdhury (Player of the Match): "At first, we knew the wicket wasnāt ideal. For the fast bowlers, it was seaming, and for the spinners, it was gripping a bit. The run was a bit less but it was enough for us. We did out best and at the end of the day, we won. Taskin bhai told me to give 100% and that helped me."

Time for the post-match presentation....
Nurul Hasan (Rangpur Riders Captain): "Yeah, definitely we didn't show our attitude on the ground and missed a few things. Our bowlers did well but the batters didn't click. The momentum is very important in this short format and we will aim to regain it in the last two matches."
9:42 PM IST, 10:12 PM Local Time: PHEW! What an enthralling low-scoring contest we have witnessed here in Dhaka. Mohammad Saifuddin almost pulled off a stunner. Durbar Rajshahi won by a razor-thin margin of 2 runs and kept their hopes alive in the tournament. Stupendous bowling display from Taskin's side to defend a modest total.
Earlier, after being invited to bat first, Durbar Rajshahi got off to a shaky start as they lost wickets from the outset and were reeling at 52/5 in the 9th over. Rangpur Riders bowlers hit the right lines and lengths in the first half of the innings, not allowing the batters to free their arms. Akbar Ali held his wicket for a while but could only muster 19 runs off 21 balls and fell prey to Rakibul Hasan. Rangpur Riders bowlers had exploited the conditions quite effectively and kept the pressure piling on the Rajshahi batters. Taskin Ahmed came out to bat at number 10 and contributed with a cameo of 13 runs, while Sunzamul Islamās unbeaten 28 helped Durbar Rajshahi post a respectable 119/9 in 20 overs. Khushdil Shah shone with the ball for the Riders, claiming three wickets. Mohammad Saifuddin and Rakibul Hasan chipped in with a couple of wickets, while Akif Javed contributed one wicket to the downfall. In response to a modest total, Rangpur Riders followed in the footsteps of Durbar Rajshahiās batters, losing wickets in clusters during the first half of the innings. Mrittunjoy Chowdhury wreaked havoc with the ball, removing 4 batters in quick succession and putting the Riders in deep trouble. The Riders crumbled like ninepins and were tottering at 49/7 in the 13th over. The match seemed done and dusted for the Riders, but there was a twist in the tale. Rakibul Hasan and Mohammad Saifuddin added 42 runs for the 8th wicket, injecting some momentum into the chase. Rakibul fell for 20, but Saifuddin launched a flurry of boundaries in the final overs, bringing it down to 13 needed off 4 balls. He smashed a maximum off the last ball to bring up his fifty but fell just short of sealing the game, as the Riders ended up 2 runs shy of Rajshahiās total.
Mrittunjoy Chowdhury starred with the ball for Rajshahi, claiming 4 wickets. Taskin Ahmed and Mohor Sheikh shared two wickets each.
