Here’s a review of what happened in the match.

Earlier, Hambantota Bangla Tigers won the toss and opted to bowl first. Richard Gleeson breathed fire with the new ball as he bagged 3 wickets in the second over of the innings.

As a result, Kings were on the score of 5/3 after the end of 2 overs. Danushka then came in and departed early too and Kings were at 6/4 at one stage.

Saurabh Tiwary and Benny Howell then put up a solid 54 run partnership for the fifth wicket to show some fight.

But the former got out to Ratnayake and threw his wicket away. Benny Howell top scored for his team with a knock of 29 runs off 16 balls and helped his side to finish on a score of 82/6 .

Richard Gleeson was the pick of the bowler for his team as he bagged 3 wickets and gave away 23 runs in his 2 overs.

Chasing 83, Tigers lost their opener on the very first ball. Dasun Shanaka and Kusal Perera then took the onus on themselves for the chase. The former departed after playing few shots.

Kusal Perera continued his onslaught and played a sensational innings of 33 runs from 15 balls before getting out. Shevon Daniel ensured that there were no hiccups in the chase and got his side over the line with 7 wickets remaining and 17 balls to spare.
