So, that also brings an end to our coverage of this game between the Rangpur Riders and Lahore Qalandars. For now, this is me Hiren Kumar signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Aditya Agarwal and scorer/analyst Vishnu Verma. CHEERS!!
With this win, Rangpur Riders will take on Victoria in the Grand Finals of Global Super League 2024 tomorrow (07th December).
Nurul Hasan (Rangpur Riders Captain): "Last night, we had a very good game and the boys were pumped up. It was a do or die game for us and the boys gave their all. The management helps us in all the ways and we have a strong self belief.

I think the wicket was a little bit tricky and that's the reason we batted first. It stays a bit low in the later part of the innings. The batters were brilliant for us. It is a very nice tournament for us. We are representing Bangladesh as well. If we can make it tomorrow, it will be great for us. Thank you."
Carlos Brathwaite (Lahore Qalandars Captain) : " There were certain things that didn't go our way. The credit goes to Steven and Soumya, they put pressure on us from ball one. We were unlucky with that initial run out. It always hurts to be on the losing side. I really enjoyed the tournament, tomorrow is a big finals and there is a big prize money as well for the winners. I always enjoy in this part of the world."
Steven Taylor (POTM) : " I just like to back my skills. I wanted to enjoy my batting. I think playing with confidence has helped me to get out of the rough patch. I love batting with Soumya. We just keep fighting and keep winning. We had a few discussions with our management when the first few matches didn't go our way."

Time for the post match presentations.
8:41 AM IST & 11:11 PM Local Time | ALL OVER! Rangpur Riders win by 23 runs (DLS) and seal their spot into the grand finale of the first edition of the Global Super League. It was clinical effort with both bat and ball from the Riders. It was a virtual semi final and Rangpur Riders have emerged victorious here.

Opting to bat first, the Rangpur Riders came all guns blazing. It was a stop and start encounter with rain falling quite a few times in this game. Steven Taylor and Soumya Sarkar were brilliant at the top and scored 32* and 22 runs respectively. Saif Hassan was also impressive in the middle and scored 27* and posted a solid total of 85 runs in the first innings.

With the ball, the Qalandars looked pretty ordinary with the ball and leaked too many easy runs. Salman Mirza was the only wicket taker for them and picked up 1 wicket to his name.

Coming to the chase, the Qalandars had a revised target of 111 (DLS). They were again ordinary with the bat and kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Mirza Tahir Baig and Tom Abell were the top scorers for them and scored 31 and 25 runs respectively.

With the ball, the Riders were again outstanding and continued the momentum. They picked up 3 wickets in the very first over of the innings and almost sealed the game. Mahedi Hasan and Zak Chappell were the pick of the bowlers for them and picked up 3 and 2 wickets respectively.

So, it's Victoria vs Rangpur Riders in the finale of the Global Super League. Hang around for the presentations.
