That’s all from today’s live coverage of the ACC Emerging Asia Cup match between India A and Oman from the Al Amerat Cricket Ground in Oman.
I’m Gourav Samal, singing off on behalf of my co-commentator Saptak Sanyal and scorer/analyst Paras Yadav. Thank you for joining us. Stay tuned for all cricketing actions around the world. Good Night.
Ayush Badoni(Player of the Match): "I brought only one jersey today and it got wet so I am wearing Prabhsimran's jersey.
The support staff told us to get myself expressed and I did that to gain confidence ahead of the knockouts. It was a tad on the slower side so it was not easy to hit from the start. So I took my time and then went for the shots. Before the semi final, it was crucial for me to get the fifty."
Player of the Match: Ayush Badoni
Tilak Varma (India A Captain): "With batting and bowling, the fielding part has also been taken care of quite well. Today the wicket was a bit tricky. Abhishek Sharma’s approach at the start of the chase was very crucial for us. Oman batted really well. They builded the innings very nicely and posted a good score on the board for us. Ayush Badoni also had a good match with the bat. Nehal Wadhera is also a good batter but he missed out on scoring some good runs today."
Jatinder Singh(Oman Captain): "Of course we enjoyed. The message was clear. We wanted to give the boys enough opportunity to enjoy. We told them that it is a big opportunity. We learnt a lot from this tournament and when you ply a side like India, it becomes a good learning opportunity. The way Ayush and Tilak batted was marvellous.
It has been a good learning curve for us. From this game, our players should learn how the Indian players carried the game forward. Ya! A good experience."
Time for the post-match presentations.
