That's it for the coverage of the one sided affair between Oman and Pakistan A. We have one more match coming up just shortly after this game, do join us in!
Till then it's me Aditya Agarwal signing off on the behalf of my co-commentators AkshayaKrishna Polya and Deepak Prakash, who, alongside scorer/ analyst Yogesh Kumar who brought all actions of the event. Bye, CHEERS!!
Rohail Nazir (POTM): "I think in the middle, we just planned about our proceedings. We lost three wickets, and the plan was to bat deep into the innings. I have worked hard with sweeps and reverse sweeps back in Islamabad with my mentor, Moeid. It paid off."
Player of the Match: Rohail Nazir
Mohammad Haris ( Pakistan A Captain) - "I was not happy with the powerplay, but Rohail and Arafat finished really well for us. It was a difficult wicket to bat on. We have good bunch of players and we want to give equal opportunities to everyone in our squad. We will work on our fielding department for the upcoming games."
Jatinder Singh (Oman Captain): "I feel we were in control till the 16 overs. We didn't bowl as per the plans in the death overs. That is where we lost the game.
Guys are mostly practising with the new ball. They had very few sessions with the old balls and death bowling, which is very hard, as we know. The spinners were doing that session.
We need to correct our mistakes and execute the plan. We need to hit good lines and lengths in the next game. We also need to improve our death bowling."

05:50 PM IST and 04:20 PM Local Time | Pakistan A beat the Oman side convincingly as they win over a margin of 74 runs and bag 2 crucial points for themselves in the points table.
Here’s a review of what happened in the match.
Earlier, Pakistan A won the toss and opted to bat first. They lost both of their openers with a score of 13 on the board. Qasim Akram ( 48 off 38) and Omair Yousuf then joined hands together and the duo put up a splendid 72 runs stand for the third wicket and brought the momentum back into their side.
Oman then chipped in with 2 back to back wickets in middle overs. Arafat Minhas ( 31 off 15) and Rohail Nazir( 41* off 20) put up a solid 69* run partnership for the sixth wicket and they propelled their team to a daunting score of 185/5.
Muzahir Raza was the star performer with the ball today for Oman as he bagged 2 wickets.
Chasing 186, Oman got off to a slow and sluggish start by their openers they made 28 runs for the first wicket in 32 balls. The required run rate kept climbing up and wickets fell at regular intervals. The Oman batter’s succumbed to the pressure. Wasim Ali tried hard with his knock of 28 runs but all his efforts went in vain.
Every Pakistan A bowler got into the wickets column . Everyone ensured that they bowl tight line and lengths and didn’t let the Oman batters to score runs freely. Zaman Khan was the pick of them as he added 2 wickets to his tally in his 3 overs spell.
As a result, Oman fell way short of the target as they lost by a huge margin of 74 runs. Stay tuned for the presentation coming up shortly!

Pakistan A win by a massive margin 74 runs!
19.6 M Imran to S Mehmood
6 SIX RUNS! A maximum from Mehmood to finish the match but that will do nothing for Oman! Pakistan A win by 74 runs and get a massive boost to their net run rate! Short of a length outside the off stump. Mehmood spreads up on the back foot and pulls it powerfully over mid wicket for a biggie. Oman are all but out of the competition with two defeats in as many matches!
19.5 M Imran to S Shrivastava
1 Back of a hand slower ball. Length on the leg stump. Shrivastava reads it, closes the bat face and gently tucks it to backward square leg for 1.
19.4 M Imran to S Mehmood
1lb Pace on. Full and attacking the leg stump. Mehmood misses the flick onto the pads. A leg bye as the ball trickles in the off side. The appeal for lbw was turned down.
19.3 M Imran to S Shrivastava
1 Back of the hand slower ball again. Length on the leg stump. Shrivastava closes the bat face early, looking to clip it in the leg side. Gets a leading edge to point for a single to get off the mark.
19.2 M Imran to S Shrivastava
0 Another slower ball, length on the middle and off, angling across. Back of the hand stuff. Shrivastava fails to read it. Misses the flick on the inside edge, but the ball breezes past the off stump into the gloves of the keeper.
