Hailing from Muscat, Oman, Sufyan Mehmood is an accurate medium-pacer who is known for his variations. Called up to the Oman senior team at just aged 17, Sufyan represented the associate nation in the U-19s and has played in various leagues around the world.
Sufyan received his first senior cap in March 2012 in a T20 fixture against Ireland and since then, he has featured for Oman in almost every ICC event, making his T20I debut against Hong Kong in November 2015.
In September 2021, the 30-year pacer was named in Oman’s ODI squad for the ICC World Cricket League Division 2 and made his debut against Nepal. After having cemented his place in Oman’s squad, he would be looking to elevate Omani cricket to the next level in the upcoming years.
