That's all from this enthralling contest, folks! India A started their campaign on a high note with a victory over their arch-rivals. We hope you enjoyed our coverage. For now, its me Deepak Prakash signing off on behalf of co-commentators Aditya Agarwal, Saptak Sanyal and scorer/analysts Paras Yadav and Chandan Kumar Singh. CHEERS!
Anshul Kamboj (Player of the Match): "My plan was just simple, I was focusing on my length and taking wickets regularly. I was trying to bowl in the block hole in the final over as Abbas Afridi was hitting really well, and my aim was to take his wicket."
Player of the Match: Anshul Kamboj
Tilak Varma ( India A Captain) - " The credit goes to Pakistan as well. Arafat and Samad really pulled the game back on. Our bowlers did well in the end to restrict them. Abhishek Sharma is the key batter in our lineup, he gave a good start to us. We are an experienced side, as our bowler have been under pressure previously also. We were not expecting the dew, but the dew came in and it became tougher for our bowlers in the end. Ramandeep Singh's catch was very crucial for us and he is a live wire in the field.
Mohammad Haris (Pakistan A Captain): "The team that performs well in the first 10 overs has a higher probability of winning the game, and that's what happened here. We aimed to restrict them to under 170 runs, as anything beyond that is difficult to chase, but we couldn't manage to do so. They have left-arm spinners so, we sent Minhas to tackle them. We lost a couple of wickets in the powerplay and failed to extract any wickets with the ball in the first six overs so, we will aim to improve these in the upcoming games."

19.6 A Kamboj to A Afridi
4 FOUR! Streaky boundary but this won't do for Pakistan A. India A win by 7 runs in this mouth-watering clash and kick off their campaign on a high note. Handshakes all around and the "Chak de India" song is being played by the DJ at the venue. Full-length delivery just outside off, angled in. Abbas on the front foot looks to smoke over mid-off but gets the thick outside edge of the bat flying towards deep third man for a boundary.
Another dot and that has sealed the deal for the India A side. Anshul Kamboj knows and has a wry smile at his face. The skipper pats his back as well.
19.5 A Kamboj to A Afridi
0 Full and outside the off-stump. Abbas swings at it looking to go downtown but misses. Celebration in the Indian camp as they need just one legal delivery to seal this contest.
Dropped at deep point! Abbas Afridi denies the single. It's all happening here at Oman Cricket Academy. 12 runs needed in 2 balls.
19.4 A Kamboj to A Afridi
0 Full and a shade outside off. Abbas gets forward and tries to thump over covers but gets the thick outside edge that flies to deep third man. Wadhera in the deep charges in and puts a dive but fails to grab it. The pair didn't run for it.
Fourr! 12 required from 3 balls now. Abbas Afridi will back himself to hit it.
19.3 A Kamboj to A Afridi
4 FOUR! Hang on, the game is not over yet, says Abbas Afridi! Good length delivery angling into the middle stump, Abbas stays to the leg of the ball and swings wildly at it but gets the thick outside edge of the bat that flies over third man for a four.
19.2 A Kamboj to Z Khan
1 Length delivery at the stumps. Zaman backs away clearing his front leg and slaps it really hard as the ball goes like a rocket towards deep cover but the fielder in the deep is calm and fields it safely, keeping it to just one run.
