Milestone
That will end our cover of this match from Zim Afro T10 2024. For now, this is Arjun Bhalla, signing off, on behalf of my co-commentators Aditya and scorer/analyst Yogesh Kumar. Until next time, cheers and goodbye.
Thisara Perera (Winning Captain): " Really happy to finish in the Top 2. Our bowling did a great job today to defend a score of 125 runs today. We just try to play good cricket and we don't get nervous of a big match. Avishka and Rassie gives us great foundation to bat on."
Yasir Shah (Losing Captain): "It was a disappointing loss for us today. A lot of learnings for us a unit from this season. We will take positives from it as well and will come back stronger next year."
Avishka Fernando (POTM)- " Really happy with my performance. It's a good wicket to bat on and i enjoy batting here. I enjoy batting with Rassie, he bats really well and boots my own confidence as well.I love my experience here at Zimbawe.

Time for the post match presentations.
10:40 PM IST and 7:10 PM Local: That's a huge victory for the NY Lagos Strikers, who, for now, have bagged the second spot on the final day of the league stage!

After putting on a solid total of 124 runs, the NY team had enough runs in their bank against an out of form Durban Wolves.

Chasing a mammoth total, the Wolves had an awful start to their innings as they lost Sharjeel Khan in the second over. Mark Chapman came out to up the ante, but he wasn't meant to be for the explosive Kiwi.

He first lost Will Smeed, and then lost the plot against Akhilesh Reddy himself. Durbam's batting kept on falling like a pack of cards as they got to 52/7 at one stage. Innocent Kaia swung his bat in the end, but the game was long gone for the Wolves as they lose it by 53 runs.
