Himmat Singh will now go and collects the winner's trophy from Rohan Jaitley President of DDCA. And now, he will take the trophy to his teammates who are waiting in front of the CHAMPIONS tag and now the celebrations will begin and continue for long into the night.
Himmat Singh(Captain East Delhi Riders): "What we did on the field, for that we used to have a lot of discussions before the game. I told my team on the very first day that the team who wins the tournament will be the best team. Thanks to Mayank Rawat, he played a very crucial innings. We always have a tactic to put the opposition under pressure. This is the result of all the 20 players and the support staff because of which we won it. Thanks to DDCA and Rohan Jaitley for organizing this tournament for us."
Time for the winners East Delhi Riders to get their winning medals. Each player will come and collect the awards. Now, Himmat Singh the captain will collect a cheque of 1 crore for winning the tournament. Now, we will hear from him.
Ayush Badoni (Captain South Delhi Superstarz): "Yes, we had worked too hard in the tournament but lost at the end. I would blame myself as I bowled the last over and gave away 30 runs which changed the course of the match. Our whole team came as a unit and performed well due to which we ended as runners-up. I will thank the board for organizing such a tournament which is a very good platform for the young players."
The runners up South Delhi Superstarz will get their medals from the dignatories present in the stage. Ayush Badoni gets a 50 lakhs runner up cheque and we will now hear from him.
The match officials led by match referee Manu Naiyer will receive their mementos now.
The chief curator Ankit Dutta gets a trophy of appreciation from DDCA President Rohan Jaitley. Now, the scorers are being presented their mementos.
Priyansh Arya (Most Valuable Player of the Season): "I am a bit disappointed that we couldnāt win the final. We will now look to the next tournament. Last year, I didnāt have a good outing. That's why I took a pledge to give my best this season and perform consistently."
