That brings an end to our coverage of this game. It was a thriller in Perth and the Renegades get across the line to upset the hosts. It was real pleasure bringing you all the action from this contest. For now, this is Akshay Bhide, signing off, on behalf of my co-commentator Soumarya Dutta and scorer Manish Bishnoi. Until next time, cheers and good bye.
Tom Rogers (Player of the Match): "It has been a topsy-turvy week. I had let the team down against the Stars but glad that I could do the job tonight. It means a lot to our side and especially with how it went in the previous game where we messed up in some key moments. We came in with a positive mindset and hopefully we can swing in some momentum in our way in our next fixture at home."

5:07 PM IST, 7:37 PM Local Time: That will be it. The Melbourne Renegades break their winless streak of three games. They beat the Perth Scorchers by four wickets to get back to winning ways in Perth. They were reeling at 10/4 in the fifth over but skipper Will Sutherland and Tom Rogers have played outstanding knocks to take the Renegades across the line with two balls to spare. The Perth crowd has been silenced as the Gades seal a thrilling win at the furnace.

Chasing 148, the Renegades got off to a worst possible start as Tim Seifert (0), Jake Fraser-McGurk (0) and Jacob Bethell (2) were sent packing inside the powerplay, with the scoreboard reading 9/3 after four overs. Laurie Evans at five fell on a silver duck. Marcus Harris along with his skipper Will Sutherland led the recovery work for the Renegades.

Harris and Sutherland stitched a 34-run stand for the fifth wicket before the former nicked one to the keeper while on 21. Sutherland kept going strong from the other end and brought up his fifty off 31 balls. He kept his side in the hunt and played some magnificent strokes as he put a 50+ stand along with Tom Rogers for the sixth wicket.

Both Sutherland and Rogers brought the equation down to 31 from 18 when they opted for the Power Surge. They scored 12 off the 18th over. In the penultimate over bowled by Jhye Richardson, they scored seven but at the cost of Sutherland who fell after scoring 70 off 45 balls. Rogers was joined by Gurinder Sandhu and the visitors required 12 from the final over.

Rogers was caught on the first ball of the final over but it was a no-ball for height. Rogers missed the free-hit but struck a six on the following ball. He picked up a couple of runs on the next and Matthew Kelly bowled a wide. A boundary on the fourth ball sealed the deal for the Renegades with four wickets in hand. Rogers remained unbeaten on 49 off 31 balls to take his side across the line.

Earlier, the Renegades got off to a wonderful start after electing to bowl first. They dismissed Finn Allen (19), Mitchell Marsh (0), Cooper Connolly (0) and Ashton Turner (8) in quick succession to reduce the Scorchers to 46/4 in the seventh over. Aaron Hardie scored a run-a-ball 34 before getting dismissed in the 15th over.

Ashton Agar refused to give up and played a brilliant knock at seven. He remained unbeaten on 51 off 30 to power the Scorchers to 147/8 which was looking at a distant at one stage. Adam Zampa bowled beautifully for the visitors and registered figures of 3/27. Tom Rogers and Will Sutherland also grabbed two scalps each to dent the Scorchers.

4 FOUURRRR!! THE RENEGADES HAVE PULLED IT OFF! THEY WIN BY FOUR WICKETS! It was short and at the stumps. Kelly bowled it at 125 kmph. Rogers was waiting on the backfoot and he pulled it away using the pace on the ball. He got enough on it to get it over square leg for a boundary. The Melbourne Renegades have clinched an absolute thriller here from nowhere.
