That brings an end to our coverage of this game. Keep joining us for more cricketing action all around the globe. For now, this is Akshay Bhide, signing off, on behalf of scorer Manish Bishnoi. Until next time, cheers and good bye.
How about this screamer from Nathan Ellis? 👇👇😍😍
Ben McDermott (Player of the Match): "We knew it is a high-scoring ground. We tried to hit a boundary every over. I just started playing good cricket shots.

David is brilliant. He has been picked up all around the world and there’s a reason for that. He’s a gun player for us.

We have summed it up well so far. Jewell at the top of the order was brilliant against the Renegades and Hope has also started brilliantly and hopefully, we will carry on.

I was hoping we could get 190. But we did well to get to that total in the end."

5:16 PM IST, 10:16 PM Local Time: End of a run-fest in Adelaide. Over 400 runs were scored in this clash and the Hobart Hurricanes emerge victorious. The bowlers from both sides went on a journey tonight and the Hurricanes hold their nerves to beat the Adelaide Strikers by 11 runs and make it two wins in a row.

Chasing a mammoth 215, Matthew Short and D’Arcy Short gave the Strikers a blazing start. They made full use of the fielding restrictions and scored 49 in the powerplay. Both put a quickfire opening stand of 76 before D’Arcy holed out in the deep on 41. In walked Chris Lynn at three and he scored 19 off 13 before falling in the 10th over.

There was no stopping skipper Matthew at the other end as he brought up his fifty off just 27 balls. He was dismissed by Waqar Salamkheil on 52 and it helped the Hurricanes pull back things. Alex Ross was sent packing cheaply on a run-a-ball eight. The required run-rate crept up and the Strikers lost their way. Ollie Pope scored 39 but fell in the 18th over. Jamie Overton tried hard and scored 30* but it wasn't enough as the Strikers fell short by 11 runs.

Each of the six Hobart's bowlers, barring Riley Meredith, picked up at least a wicket. Chris Jordan finished with two to his name as they defended the total successfully on this batting-friendly strip to silence the AdelaidThe Hurricanes got off to a good start after being put in to bat. Caleb Jewell and Shai Hope played beautifully and helped their side get to 43 in the powerplay after losing Mitchell Owen (8) early in the innings. The Strikers pulled back things by dismissing Jewell (20) and Hope (37) before the drinks break.

Ben McDermott was going strong from one end and received good support from Nikhil Chaudhary (20). The foundation was set for a strong finish. Tim David (33 off 14) Chris Jordan (17* off 10) played handy cameos and McDermott’s unbeaten 68 off 34 powered the Hurricanes to 214/5. Jamie Overton was the standout bowler for the Strikers, registering figures of 2/27 in his four overs.
