That is the end of a Hurricane getting into a Typhoon. It was a horrible start to the Hobart Hurricanes' BBL campaign as Melbourne Renegades hammered them into pieces.

We will have big guns returning to BBL tomorrow night at the Adelaide Oval, with the likes of Glenn Maxwell, Ben Duckett and Ollie Pope taking the field for their respective clubs. Don't forget to join us for that but before we do have plenty of cricketing action going around the globe. Stay tuned.

For now, this is AkshayaKrishna Polya signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Ajay Pal Singh and scorer/analyst Paras Yadav. Until next time, its cheers!

Tom Rogers (POTM): "Thanks mate! Yeah, the other night, we were unhappy with how we executed with the ball, especially in the powerplay.

So, Fergus O'Neill and I went back to the drawing board and really wanted to make an impression tonight. It was a great effort for the team to put their best foot forward and hopefully get the boys a win. And the boys in the middle took care of it.

I think we put the ball in pretty good areas. There were a few lucky times as well. I think that Seifert's left-side catch was an absolute screamer.

(on a potential hat-trick) No, obviously, you want to tick that box off, right? I don't think it's coming from me. But I reckon Fergus O'Neill has got one in it. And it will be a hell of a celebration when he does."

4 PM IST & 9:30 PM Local Time: Melbourne Renegades brush aside Hobart Hurricanes by 6 wickets to get their first win of the season. After bowling out the Hurricanes for their lowest total in the tournament, they complete the chase with 11 overs to spare. This is as big a win as you'll ever see in a T20 game.

Earlier in the game, Hobart Hurricanes were blown away for their lowest-ever total in Big Bash League history. Will Sutherland won the toss and invited the Hurricanes to bat in Geelong.

Tom Rogers picked up the first three wickets incliding a two-wicket over inside the powerplay. Fergus O'Neill then bowled an over in which he picked up three wickets.

Mitchell Owen (10) and Shai Hope (13) were the only batters from the top-order who got to double figures. Skipper Nathan Ellis was the leading run-getter with a knock of 35 off 29. Hurricanes were bowled out for 74 in 12.4 overs.

Fergus O'Neill, Tom Rogers and Will Sutherland all picked up three wickets apiece while Adam Zampa removed the last batter.

Jake Fraser-McGurk started off with a boundary off the first ball of the run chase. However, he was cleaned up by Billy Stanlake in the second over.

Josh Brown and Tim Seifert then took the attack to the opposition and put on a quick-fire 41-run stand off just 18 deliveries before the former lost his wicket.

Debutant Jacob Bethell threw his away his wicket. His countryman Laurie Evans hit a six and then perished, nicking one through to the keeper. Seifert remained unbeaten on 37 off 19 while Mackenzie Harvey hit the winning runs and was not out on 10 off 8 at the end of the chase to get the Renegades over the line with 66 balls to spare.

4 FOUR RUNS!!! Mackenzie Harvey puts an end to Hobart Hurricanes' struggle! Melbourne Renegades bash the Hurricanes by 6 wickets with 11 overs to spare. It doesn't come better than this in T20 cricket! Short of a length angling across the left-hander from the middle and off line. Harvey picks it up, waits for it with a little swivel and pulls it behind the square in the leg side for a boundary. The Renegades open their winning account in the 14th season, while Nathan Ellis has got his team together in a huddle after the big defeat and has a few animated words to his teammates!
8.5 N Ellis to M Harvey
0 Now, the yorker. Back to back dots. It is angled across the left-hander outside off. Harvey digs it to short extra cover.
