That's all from this enthralling contest, folks! Daniel Sams turned the game on its head and we hope you enjoyed our coverage. For now, it's me Deepak Prakash signing off on behalf of co-commentator Ajay Pal Singh and Scorer/analyst Paras Yadav. CHEERS!
Daniel Sams (Player of the Match): "It was one of those games where my plan paid off. I told Green we needed to go hard at the Power Surge, and once Pope came on, I seized the opportunity and made the most of it. It's something I've worked on a lot—taking it ball by ball and not overthinking things. The wins at the start of the tournament have given us plenty of confidence. I'm really excited for the Sydney Smash and hoping we can get one over the Sydney Sixers."

5:05 PM IST & 10:35 PM Local Time: That's it, Sydney Thunder win a thriller in the capital city of Australia. They get over the line with two balls to spare. It was a run-fest and Thunder held their nerves to get the win.

Bowling first, the Thunder started well but some brilliance from the bat of James Bazley (31), Jake Weatherald (43) and Jamie Overton (45) took the Adelaide Strikers past the 180-run mark.

Lockie Ferguson and Chris Green picked up three wickets apiece. Tanveer Sangha got two wickets with the ball.

In reply, David Warner fell cheaply. Cameron Bancroft too perished for just 6 runs. Sam Konstas, in his first game for the Thunder, smashed a fine half-century to bring them back into the contest.

Oliver Davies played a nice hand, scoring 23 off 19 while Sam Billings was solid as ever in the middle overs, scoring 29 off 26.

With 34 needed off the last 12 balls, Daniel Sams took the attack to Lloyd Pope and smashed 31 runs off the penultimate over. Sams also hit the winning runs in the final over off Jamie Overton.
