Well that's it from this match folks! New Zealand with a brilliant victory in the first ODI! Hop tabs to join our coverage of the SA20 Final LIVE!

I am Anirudh Modi, signing off along with my co-commentator Ajay Pal Singh, and our scorer/analyst Zeeshan Naiyer! See you on the next one.
Mitchell Santner (New Zealand Captain): "I don't think so. I mean, yeah. Glenn's knock and that partnership with Bracewell gave us the momentum. I think we were looking at 280-300. Pakistan bowled well in first and second phase of the innings, it took a special knock from Glenn Phillips to take us to that total.

That was pleasing. There was a bit of assistance which is nice. I think that big wicket of Fakhar was big for us to squeeze and we got the run rate up. It looked like a good wicket. We stuck around and were able to chip wickets in the middle which is idea.

Yeah, I guess every time you play for your country, you want to win. Karachi is going to be different conditions. I think we played them in a similar time last year or couple of years ago. We know how good they are. The bounce back is always on the cards.

(Bracewell) He has got big hands, that was a nice phase for us. To break that partnership was great for us."
Mohammad Rizwan (Pakistan Captain): "When we lose the day is always tough. If we look from the beginning, the pitch was difficult and we bowled well but Williamson & Mitchell batted really well and Phillips took the game away from us in the end.

When Haris got sidelined, Salman bowled at a crucial time for us and you cannot expect more than 5 overs from a part-timer and both he and Khushdil did that. Otherwise, if you see Abrar bowled really well. We have spoken to the doctors and Haris' progress will be monitored but there is nothing to worry about.

We need to improve on our batting as we lost wickets in the middle overs but we also need to improve our bowling at the backend and we will focus on that in the next matches."
Glenn Phillips (POTM): "Yeah, we had a tough middle period. Pakistan bowled well but we gave ourselves a chance to finish big. The way Bracewell came in and got the momentum, I just tried to carry it forward.

Strangely, when you give your stumps, the bowlers don't go for it. I had a feeling he will go wide, knew he had the pace to bowl at the leg stump. Gave myself room and do the things with my hands that I always do.

I love my bowling. That was pretty special. My first ODI hundred, that only comes around once. So yeah, it was special.

I think it is the team culture we got around. We talk about putting things in a bucket, and to be able to keep adding to it while taking something out. For me, it was about adding as much as I can to the team."

10:40 PM IST, 10:10 PM Local Time | New Zealand shock the hosts to take victory in the 1st ODI of this tri-nation series! They defeat Pakistan by 78 runs and pick up the first win of the newly renovated Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore!

New Zealand won the toss and elected to bat first, and after initial hiccups, Kane Williamson (58 runs off 89 balls) and Daryl Mitchell (81 runs off 84 balls) laid down the foundation for Glenn Phillips to come in and score his maiden ODI ton En route to registering his highest ODI score with an unbeaten 106 runs off 74 balls! His quickfire hitting ensured the Kiwis scored 123 runs in the last 10 overs to register 330/6 at the end of their innings.

Shaheen Afridi was the pick of the bowlers for Pakistan with the figures of 3/88 from 10 overs!

Come the chase, Fakhar Zaman gave Pakistan a flying start with two half-century partnerships with Babar Azam and Kamran Ghulam before Glenn Phillips ended his powerful innings at 84 runs off 69 balls at the beginning of the 23rd over of the chase.

Pakistan never recovered from that as the Kiwi spinners dominated the middle phases of the run-chase to pick up wickets at regular intervals. Phillips, Santner and Bracewell combined to pick up 6/100 from their 23 overs to break the back of Pakistan's batting order.

Eventually, the target proved to be too much for Pakistan who failed to chase it down after playing 50 overs and faltered at a total score of 252/9 and with Haris Rauf unavailable to bat, that was the end of their innings.

Mitchell Santner led from the front with the ball with the figures of 3/41 from his 10 overs. While, Matt Henry chipped in with 3/55 from his 10 overs to ensure victory for their team.

New Zealand will face-off against a weakened South Africa side due to SA20 and will look to book their spot in the finals of this series in a couple of days. Pakistan meanwhile will need to go back to the drawing board and iron out chinks from their armour and deal with the loss of Haris Rauf to injury.
