Milestone
The game is done and dusted in less than 2 hours, courtesy of a breathtaking bowling display from Men in Green, particularly Sufiyan Muqeem (2.4-0-3-5), who wreaked havoc with the ball and now holds the record for the best bowling figures for Pakistan in T20Is.

From 37/0 to 57/10, the Zimbabwean batters faltered miserably. The decision to bat first backfired for the hosts as Pakistan registered their biggest win in T20Is in terms of balls remaining, securing the series with one game to go. There is plenty for Raza and Co. to ponder, and they will need to address their shortcomings in the final match of the series to avoid a whitewash.

For now, it’s time to bid adieu to this coverage. Thanks for staying with us throughout the match. Deepak Prakash here, signing off on behalf of Akshay Bhide and Bishal Mandal CHEERS!
Agha Salman (Pakistan Captain): "That’s how we want to play. We don’t want our performance to depend on the toss because we believe we are a good enough team. Whether we bat first or second, we have the ability to win because we are a quality side. The way youngsters are stepping up and making an impact on the bigger stage is truly heartening, and it makes me very, very happy.

Yeah, we have plans in place, and the execution has been really impressive. We want to hit the deck hard and aim for the stumps, and the way they’ve been doing that is outstanding. The spinners, of course, have been exceptional throughout the series. The way Sufiyan and Abrar bowled in this game was also outstanding.

I’m very happy, and the team is equally happy. It’s great to win a T20 series, especially since we didn’t win one in Australia. We aim to win this series and continue this momentum in the upcoming series as well."
Player of the Match: Sufiyan Muqeem
Sikandar Raza (Zimbabwe Captain): "Yeah, we all are hurting. I said one thing to the team. We have 36 overs to bounce back. We knew they will come out hard. We have to find the answers quickly and want to beat Pakistan one more time before they get back home.

Again, you have to upskill yourself. It's tough in a way. You can replicate it many times. But you have to watch the surface and the opposition. You have to adjust and soak in the pressure. Me and the management has to be patient because it's a new squad. They haven't played Pakistan before. The only thing for me is that are we learning after we make mistakes and lose the game. It's important to back them and learn from the mistakes."

6:45 PM IST, 3:15 PM Local Time: A thumping win for the Men in Green, as they annihilated Zimbabwe by 10 wickets with more than 14 overs to spare, securing the series with one game to go.

Earlier, the decision to bat first backfired for the hosts as they were bundled out for a mere 57 runs in 12.4 overs. Brian Bennett (21) and Tadiwanashe Marumani (16) provided a brisk start to the hosts and added 37 runs for the first wicket. However, following the wicket of Marumani, they fell like nine pins and were folded for just 57 runs - their lowest total in T20Is.

Pakistani bowlers kept hitting the right areas and took wickets for fun. It was a sorry sight on the scorecard for the hosts, with three batters failing to score and Bennett and Marumani being the only ones to reach double digits.

Sufiyan Muqeem (5/3) proved too hot to handle for the hosts, claiming five wickets in just 2.4 overs. Abbas Afridi chipped in with a couple of wickets, while Abrar Ahmed, Haris Rauf, and Salman Agha contributed one wicket to Zimbabwe’s downfall.

Defending 57 runs was never going to be an easy task for the hosts and Pakistani openers put pressure on them from the outset, scoring 11 runs off the opening over. Omair Yousuf (22*) and Saim Ayub (36*) looked in a hurry and smashed 61 runs off just 5.3 overs, helping the Men in Green cross the line with more than 14 overs to spare and win the series.

A mediocre performance from Zimbabwe on home soil, and they will need to restrategize and come back stronger in the final match of the series to avoid a whitewash.

Stay tuned for the presentation...
