Suryakumar Yadav (Player of the Series and India Captain): "I think more than the last over, I feel when we were 30/4 and 50-5, the boys showed great character and the way they batted was great. I feel 140 was a par score here. When we were going on the field, I told that I have seen such collapses and if we can put heart and mind into it for the next one and half hour, we can pull it off.
(On youngsters in the squad) You would have seen them bowl. But I think the amount of skills and the self-belief that they have makes my job easier. I still remember that after the first two games, I told that some of the guys will have a rest. Some boys came up and said that they can have the rest and the others can have a chance.
Really happy with the performance of everyone. The way these boys are stepping up with the bat takes pressure off me. I said at the start of the series is that I don't want to be the captain and I want to be the leader."
Player of the Series: Suryakumar Yadav
Game Changer of the Match: Suryakumar Yadav
Charith Asalanka (Sri Lanka Captain): "Definitely. I am really disappointed with our batting, especially with the middle and lower middle order. It was wrong shot selections from them.
It was the spinners bowling, and that is why Hasaranga came up the order, and we just gave him the license to hit one or two boundaries. It didn't come up for us.
Definitely, it was a gettable score. We need to do more as professional cricketers. Nothing much. The pressure took a toll on us. When the ball gets older, the shot making becomes difficult. Yes, there are no excuses for these collapses.
We need to execute with the bat better in the upcoming ODI series. The top order has scored runs. They have done well. That is the one positive for us."
Suryakumar Yadav signs the match ball and collects the winner's cheque and trophy.
