Winning the toss, Kent opted to bowl with Glamorgan depositing 145/6 in the 13-over match. Marnus Labuschagne with an instrumental unbeaten 50.
Kent didn't quite get the start they wanted losing both their openers for 43 runs inside 5 overs. Daniel Bell-Drummond hit 27 in 15 deliveries in a failed top order effort.
Skipper Sam Billings looked good in the steep chase but fell for 33 in 17 balls with 54 needed in 17 balls. Tom Rogers who was excellent in the first innings stood out with an attacking unbeaten 31 in 12 balls smashing 3 sixes.
Timm van der Gugten picked up 2/26 in 3 overs with Labuschagne (1/14 in 2), Dan Douthwaite (1/22 in 3) choking the scoring rate. Mason Crane (1/35) in his 2 overs picked up a wicket but proved costly so was Andy Gorvin with his 0/31 in 3 overs.
Thanks to the trio of van der Gugten, Labuschagne and Douthwaite, the Glamorgan bowling attack could choke the opposition scoring rate resulting in a well fought 13-run win. With both teams already out of the competition, the result doesn't impact either sides.
