That marks the end of our coverage from the 3rd and the final T20I of the 3-match series between Australia Women and England Women. Australia Women dominated the entire white-ball series and next up, there's the only Test match of this tour. The pink-ball Test will start from 30th January at the iconic MCG. England will get an opportunity to make a comeback in that game and finish the Women's Ashes 2025 on a good note.

For now, this is Saptak Sanyal signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Deepak Prakash and our scorer/analyst Paras Yadav.
Tahlia McGrath (Australia Women Captain): "A great victory. To be honest the wicket was a bit tricky but Moons (Beth Mooney) was batting on a different surface it seemed. Glad to get the support from the crowd. Lovely atmosphere.

A completely new challenge coming up. Pink ball. Under lights. Everything is a new challenge. We are looking forward to put the baggy green and the whites on."
Heather Knight (England Women Captain): "Playing spin seemed to be very hard for us. But then all those wickets which fell hurt us. The wicket was a bit tricky and low. Then we lost the momentum and kept losing the wickets. We have the Test match next at MCG and we are looking forward to that.

The issue is that we are lacking the momentum. We must appreciate Alana King and Wareham for the way they bowled today."
Beth Mooney (Player of the Match): "I hit a few out of the middle, and it was nice to have a few partnerships in there. The one at the top with Volly was pretty crucial in the end, getting us off to a good start and not losing too many wickets in the first 10 overs.

(On her consistent performance) I don't know too much about that. I think I was probably battling for some runs leading into this series in the first couple of games, so I just went back to the method that's worked for me in the past. So, yeah, fortunately, it's come off tonight for me and the team, but hopefully, there are still a few left in me.

I've been fortunate to have been given a variety of roles throughout my career, and I enjoy offering the selectors different options. The conditions were probably tougher than we expected. We got off to a fast start and thought 180 was achievable, but then slowed down in the middle. It would be a great way to finish off the series, but I’m not looking too far ahead."
Player of the Match: Beth Mooney.
4:49 PM IST and 9:49 PM Local Time | Australia Women have secured the clean sweep by defeating England Women by 72 runs in the 3rd and the final T20I of the 3-match series.

Beth Mooney and Georgia Voll came to open the innings for Australia and they gave their side a very good start. Voll departed for 23 but Mooney continued her merry ways. Phoebe Litchfield and Ellyse Perry got out cheaply and the rest of the batters also didn't contribute much but Mooney continued to play her shot and eventually she scored 94 runs off 63 balls. Courtesy of that innings, Australia Women reached 162 at the end of their 20 overs.

For England Women, Linsey Smith, Freya Kemp, Charlotte Dean, Sophie Ecclestone and Alice Capsey took a wicket apiece.

Coming to chase the run, English batters never looked in a good touch. Sophia Dunkley got out for just 1. Alice Capsey, Nat Sciver-Brunt got out cheaply. Danielle Nicolle Wyatt-Hodge, the other opener played a 17-run knock but that was not enough. Entire lower middle order fell badly and they were reduced to 48 for 7. Skipper Heather Knight put a good fight back and she scored 40. She got Sophie Ecclestone by her side who scored just 5. Knight got out for 40 and England's innings got wrapped up for just 90 on the board and they lost it by 72 runs.

Australia bowlers were absolutely spot-on with their lines. Their spinners played with the flight and won the battle. Georgia Wareham finished with a magical figure of 3/11. She was well partnered by Alana King who took a wicket for 17 runs. Among the pacers, Darcie Brown took 2 wickets and Megan Schutt and skipper Tahlia McGrath took a wicket apiece.
