Charith Asalanka (Jaffna Kings Captain): "Just smashing. Yeah, we were under pressure. It was almost like 12 and a half in an over when I walked in to bat, so just had to go from the word go. Personally I think when it comes to short games, it comes down to luck and toss does play a role.

The covers came off just 30 minutes before the match. It would be difficult to bat on that wicket. We didn't bowl well enough. We needed more runs on the board."

1W RUN-OUT! The catch was put down in the deep but a run-out opportunity has been taken with both hands! Good length outside the off stump. Omarzai gets down on one knee and goes for a slog sweep. He swings across and gets a big top edge that flies towards deep mid-wicket. Mohammad Haris drops the high ball in the deep after running to his left from mid-wicket. Kamindu Mendis was also looking to get under it but is worried about the collision as he watches Haris spilling the catch, who was actually put off by his colleague on the field. Mendis gets across and returns the ball to the bowler as there is a miscommunication between the batters while looking for the second run. Fletcher removes the bails and Avishka Fernando is nowhere in the frame.

4 FOURRRR!!! Back-to-back boundaries for Omarzai and Jaffna Kings! First four of the chase! Good length outside off. Rocks back and slices it over cover point. Mathews in the deep makes a meal of it. Dives around to his right but fails to grab it cleanly, allowing the boundary as it spins further away from his reach.
