So, that also brings an wrap to our coverage of the 3rd T20I between Pakistan and New Zealand. For now, this is me Hiren Kumar signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Saptak Sanyal and scorer/analyst Zeeshan Naiyer. CHEERS!!
Michael Bracewell (New Zealand Captain)- "Obviously I'm happy with our performance. I am particularly impressed with our two debutants. I think they will bowl well with more experience in the future. Ish(Ish Sodhi) bowled well in the middle overs and he has been doing it since a long time for us. The partnership between Foxi(Dean Foxcroft) and Chapman was the key for us. I will be happy if we can continue the momentum."
Babar Azam (Pakistan Skipper): "I think we were decent with the bat. Maybe 10 runs short. Unfortunately, we were without Rizwan who was injured. Credit to Shadab who batted very well. It depends on the situation where Shadab will bat (on batting order). Saim Ayub was also impressive with the bat at the top for us. I think we started well in the first 6 overs with the ball. Mark Chapman does well against us and we should do better in the field and not drop many catches. Hopefully, we will bounce back strongly."
Mark Chapman (Player of the Match)- "It is always nice to come here and thankfully we have levelled the series. Yes Pakistan is a good bowling side and we knew that the run was gettable. The wicket got a bit slower in the later half and we lost a few wickets but I tried to take the game deep. Seifert had set up the chase well for us. We just tried to maintain the asking rate after that and that has paid off. Foulkes and O'Rourke bowled well in their overs in their debut game."
