Milestone
That's it from our coverage of this game and the ODI series. Bangladesh wins the ODI series 2-1 after Sri Lanka won the T20I series by the same margin. Both teams will now head off to Sylhet for the first of 2 Test matches starting from Friday onwards. Make sure you join us for that clash and for all other fixtures around the globe and across formats, stay tuned to our network.

For now, this is Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Deepak Prakash and Saptak Sanyal alongside scorers/analysts Bishal Mandal and Vishnu Verma. Stay safe, happy, and cool. Goodnight and CHEERS!
Najmul Hossain Shanto collects the trophy and joins his teammates for the celebration. He hands over the trophy to Rishad Hossain and they are diving into the flavours of celebration.
Najmul Hossain Shanto (Bangladesh Captain and Player of the Series): "Yes, the way Tamim started was great. Mushi batted well and then Rishad batted great out there. Our bowlers bowled really well. On this pitch so really happy with our bowlers. Rishad and all. Yes, looking forward to the Test series against Sri Lanka. We won a Test against New Zealand and now it will be important how we do against Sri Lanka. Let's hope for the best."
Player of the Series: Najmul Hossain Shanto.
Rishad Hossain (Player of the Match): "I am feeling very happy to contribute to the team. At first, I felt a little nervous, but once I started playing some shots, I just kept hitting and making good connections. Mushi bhai told me to go for the shots if the ball was in my slot."
Player of the Match: Rishad Hossain
Kusal Mendis (Sri Lanka Captain)- "I think we were 40-50 runs short. But after a few early wicket loss, we played well. Janith Liyanage batted really well after we lost a couple of wickets in the middle overs. Lahiru Kumara was very good with the new ball. He got a few wickets in the start. Results may not go in our favour but we are happy with the efforts."
Time for the post-match presentation.....
5:04 PM IST, 5:34 PM Local Time: Mushfiqur Rahim hits the winning runs and punches the air in delight as Bangladesh holds their nerve and win this game by 4 wickets. They win it easily in the end thanks to a whirlwind innings from Rishad Hossain as they win the series 2-1. The chase was completed in 40.2 overs. Great win for Bangladesh and Sri Lanka have been outplayed today.

Chasing 236 on a tricky pitch, Bangladesh got off to a steady start courtesy of their openers Anamul Haque and his partner who was the concussion substitute Tanzid Hasan Tamim. While Anamul scored 12, Tanzid was the star of the show with his 84 off 81 balls. Towhid Hridoy chipped in with 22 off 36 balls. Mehidy Hasan Miraz played an important hand for his 25 off 40 balls. Mushfiqur Rahim held one end up at one end as he was unbeaten with 37* off 36 balls. Then it was the Rishad Hossain show as his whirlwind cameo of 48* off 18 balls powered Bangladesh to a 4-wicket win over Sri Lanka with 58 balls to spare.

Lahiru Kumara was the pick of the bowlers for Sri Lanka with figures of 4/48 in 8 overs. Wanindu Hasaranga picked up a couple of wickets but was taken to the cleaners by Rishad towards the end. The rest came back wicketless.

Earlier in the game. Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat first and lost wickets at regular intervals. The openers fell cheaply while skipper Kusal Mendis scored 29. Sadeera scored 14 while Asalanka looked decent for his 37. But amidst all the ruins, one man stood out for Sri Lanka and that was Janith Liyanage. His unbeaten century in which he scored 101* rescued Sri Lanka to get to a competitive total. He scored 101* off 102 balls while Hasaranga and Theekshana got into double figures and gave him some support towards the end. They ended with 235 in 50 overs.

Wickets were shared around by the Bangladesh bowlers. Taskin Ahmed was the pick of them with figures of 3/42 in 10 overs. A couple of wickets for Mustafizur Rahman and Mehidy Hasan Miraz. A wicket for Soumya Sarkar and Rishad Hossain. Shoriful Islam bowled well but went wicketless today.

So, a win for Bangladesh by 4 wickets as they win the series 2-1. Stay tuned for the presentations.
