22:05 IST and 17:35 Local Time- We have the first Tie of the Women's Hundred 2024 and the Southern Brave have done remarkably here to eke out this result. The Northern Superchargers finish off with 100/7 in their 100 balls. They seemed down and out at the halfway stage but they kept fighting with the ball. Lauren Bell was the star of the show and she picked up four wickets in her 20 balls and gave away just 11 runs.
The Northern Superchargers got off to a good start in the first few overs but the Southern Brave struck back super soon as they picked up the first wicket. Kelly and Armitage were picked up by Bell and the pressure started to build up on the Northern side. Litchfield and Sutherland took their time and got them through the powerplay without any further damage.
However, the spinners did really well and the boundaries dried up. It forced the batters to look for the big shots but the likes of Freya Kemp kept things under check. The Southern skipper Adams brought back her trump card Lauren Bell and she didn't disappoint as she got the massive wicket of Sutherland in the 11th over.
Phoebe Litchfield played a few shots to up the ante but she was dismissed for 24. The counter attack was started for the Northern side by Alice Davidson-Richards and Bess Heath. The pair started picking up boundaries and brought the equation down to less than run a ball before Cheatle came back into the attack and Heath was run out in a bizarre fashion.
It triggered a collapse as Kate Cross took her time to get going and used up the deliveries. The pressure on Alice Davidson-Richards and she was cleaned up by Bell in the final over which changed the momentum completely. Skipper Georgia Adams also picked up a wicket while Tryon also got one.

2 ITS A TIEEEEE!! WHAT A GAMEEE!! We wont have any Super Set in the HUNDRED. Its the First Ever TIE in the Women's Hundred. It was a fuller delivery at the stumps, right in the blockhole as Cross drills it down the ground, the ball just crosses the 30 yard circle at the mid on region, the long on fielder has to run forward to collect the ball and throws it at the strikers end, the batters were quick enough to complete a brace. The match ends in a tie as both the teams will share points. CRAZY CRAZY END TO THE GAME!
