Time to conclude our coverage as well. Ireland created history by clinching the ODI series 2-0, marking their maiden series victory against Zimbabwe on Zimbabwean soil. We hope you enjoyed our coverage. Thank you for staying with us throughout the match.
For now, this is Deepak Prakash taking your leave on behalf of co-commentator Anirudh Modi (1st innings) and scorer/analyst Yogesh Kumar. CHEERS!
Paul Stirling receives the trophy and now he heads towards his teammates to pose for a photograph.
Paul Stirling (Ireland Captain):"It is, absolutely. I think we saved our best performance for last. Potentially so happy for the lads. You know, we, we've worked pretty hard during the winter and we sort of showed that we got the rewards today.
There are only bits and pieces that we need to improve on and I think that was a great start today, and throughout the last couple of weeks we've got more challenges coming in the new year, but I think it's a big tick in the box so far.
The team has performed outstandingly, I just practiced my coin toss in the winter. I'm so proud of the lads. Look, we've got a number of series coming up.
Obviously, the World Cup is the first thing that comes to mind, the T20. So we'll put a lot of focus into that. But I think all three formats are coming up shortly so plenty of cricket."
Curtis Campher (Player of the series):"Yeah, just really happy to contribute to the team, to be honest. I think it was a team decision (to bat at no. 3), the head coach, said to me that this is what we're going to look to do in the future.
To be honest, I'm not trying to think about too much, just trying to see the ball hit the ball and see what happens, but yeah, just trying to stay concrete in defense and trying to capitalize on some mistakes from the bowlers."
Player of the series: Curtis Campher
Best batter of the series: Curtis Campher
Best bowler of the series: Josh Little
Andrew Balbirnie (Player of the Match):"Yeah, I think as a top-order batter you're always looking for that consistency, but you're also one knock away from finding form. So it was nice to kind of be there for the duration today and get the boys over the line in a series decider.
Yeah, very difficult for batters. It's obviously challenging at times, but I think the more you spend out there, the better you become used to the wicket. And I kind of knew that if I set myself up for the back end with wickets in hand, we could get over the line and, yeah, it's nice. I always enjoy coming to Harare and playing on these wickets and they test you out, but you get your rewards if you get in.
It was obviously tricky with a bit of a gap today with the lightning around. We weren't sure if it was going to rain or not, but I think credit to our bowlers and the way they came in after that break and took key wickets and kept them to, I think, like Raza said, maybe 20 or 30 runs short of a good score."
