So, that's it from this game. A win for the Northern Brave and they kick off the campaign on a positive note. This is Arijit Kundu signing off along with along with co-commenators, Soumarya Dutta, Ayan Chatterjee and scorer, Bishal Mondal.
Dane Cleaver (Central Stags Captain): "I think we were a big bogged down. When you get off to a poor start it gets difficult to get going. We pulled them back after it looked almost a 200-plus for them. They bowled well and we couldn't quite match up today. We will try to improve on the result and try to move on to the next game."
Jeet Raval, Northern Braves Captain  - The  boys did really well and really pleased with the effort. I felt it was a really good wicket and 200 was a good score. The boys up front did a great job. It was a mixture of good bowling and not much  power. I gave myself a bit of chance and it paid off in the end. We're blessed to have so many international bowlers for us and it's great for the rest of the group, who can learn from them.
Tim Seifert (Game changer of the match): "We looked to pull first punch and create the pressure on the opposition. It was a good wicket to bat on but there was reward for the bowlers as well. We forced them to bowl into our arc as we created the  pressure on them. Our spinners did really well and bowled us to victory. Sometimes those sixes end up being wickets but you can't keep worrying about that."
1:16 PM IST and 6:46 PM Local Time: A comprehensive win for the Northern Brave to kick off the tourney. A dominating performance sees them open the winning account.

In pursuit of a 197 runs target, the Stags, Neil Wagner and Tim Southee struck with the new ball with proper Test match bowling strategy. Dane Cleaver and Curtis Heaphy struggled to score runs and the former's trouble came to an 🔚 when Mitchell Santner made a direct hit to sent the opposition skipper back to the hut. When the scorecard read 23-3 in five overs, William Clark assisted Heaphy to build a 56-run fourth wicket partnership.

The spinners- Santner and Tim Pringle, along with Scott Kuggeleijn operated smartly to topple the backbone of the Stags. The pacer fragmented the building stand and opened the path for an awaiting collapse. In the end, the final wicket dragged the game to the final over with Tim Southee hitting the final nail in the coffin.

Earlier a top-order dominance from the Northern Knights paved the path for a comprehensive total. Katene Clarke (28) and Tim Seifert(43) offered a fiery start, stockpiling 72 runs inside the mandatory powerplay. The former got cleaned up by Ajaz Patel at the cusp of the powerplay but Jeet Raval held the forte and carried the innings forward. After Seifert followed his opening partner in the 7th over, Joe Carter played second fiddle to Seifert in a 46-run stand. The Stags made an effort to make inroads as the innings progressed. However the runs did come thick and fast with some lower order cameos.

Stay tuned for the presentation.
19.5 T Southee to B Tickner
W GONE! That's the last wicket and that's the game for the Northern Braves. Tickner hung around for a while but he will have to depart. It was a yorker right into the block hole and tailed back into the  right hander. Tickner couldn't get his bat down on time and the ball crashed into the stumps. The Northen Brave have clinched this game by 55 runs here.
